Description
This is my best realistic digital painting that I've finished.I AM really proud of finishing this, I made it on an app called "Painter" with the SAMSUNG Galaxy note 8 pen and It is a sort of made up idea of a flooded grass In a beautiful cave. My favorite thing is the water and grass lighting realism. And the clouds.
This was originally a background for my centaur OC, Cam.
I usually don't do art like this, but I would love to continue to improve on these and maybe do scenery commissions! I would love using and trying my best at these types of scenery arts.

I'm so honored that you like it! I put so much work into the shading of grass and where the light hit the water and grass differently, and I was surprised how well the shadings mixed in the darker shaded areas, and with the darker underwater dirt showing through the clear water and mixing the textures with the water. I'm so glad it looks unique to other scenery work! I want to see what I can create when I put my best work into realistic art and realistic animals or painted versions of real things and my favorite places or trees and animals. Thank you so much!

Thank you so MUCH! I was so proud of putting so much work into something and do my best for once. (Because I normally do JUST grass, but I watch plants and differences in different weeds and flowers, and try to add realistic features into my work.

I would love to! I think it would be a good practice, and one I would stick to and learn about lighting and textures, and maybe have someone reference or describe what idea they want to show that they can't create in visualization on their own, A lot of artists say that they can't create realistic backgrounds so they avoid them, but maybe to give an idea of the scenery their character is in.
(Such as a made up world for a specific Character or an alien world and realistically earthlike but different, creating different plants and making)
I am so inspired by realistic alien backgrounds or even lava or places for alien characters. I would love to make backgrounds for real places in painting form too, and creating some made up place and realistic scenery for what character lives there.

i have a little world with my gf and best friend that has a LOT of locations with no visual representations yet, and i'd be very happy to commission you for some illustrations, especially to help you practice

Yes, especially with roleplay worlds! That's what inspired this art actually, it was a role play world of centaut and castles and mostly in the open wilderness and medevil-times untouched nature.
I would enjoy creating the foreground for a roleplay world, and sometimes role play servers use pictures of places closest to the idea of their roleplay world to set the scene and idea of where they are. It really helps connect to the place and the world development to have something to reference what's in your head of your world.
I have an idea that my characters have a dirtlike home(with mud and it dries and grass grows overtop of it) and I have never been able to show what's in my head in words, but if you are able to express it in words, the real idea stays only in your head and other people can interoperate it differently than you describe and having photography or art to place it as well as you can in your mind it can be like having your ideas put of your head to show someone else, it would be really cool to be able to flesh out my best scenery skills to be able to give someone that image of what they want to show. Or even for other scenery specializing artists and you know they would know what you're talking about when you say "Open flat feild on a clear summer day, A few mounds of hay in the distance with some birds sitting near or around them, and [character] sitting on the closer bale of hay in the front of The art, overlooking the peaceful flowers, grass or birds, holding one of the flowers from the field." And take that image, and place things in the style that artist sees it as, or have referenced to make it more clear, it really depends on how the artist sees your vision also. It is quite hard to actually even create your own ideas OUTSIDE of your head accurately. It really sucks not be be able to create your ideas out of your head, but you can still do your best even if it starts to look completely different. Practicing different types of scenery like how dirt LOOKS and how accurate the rocks look is up your how much you want it to look.
I'm very excited to start practicing, I usually never do types of art like this that isn't my cartoon style but talent isn't about style, it is about how you use your talents and what you want to use it for.
