I've only tinkered a little with Woodland Scenics water so far but my experiments are continuing. I came across a fantastic terrain site: www.ironhands.com/mordheim.htm and he used resin for the water on his board (didn't specify what brand) but it looks amazing. I don't think it's quite as deep as it looks, he's really good at playing with illusion and depth perception. I also just watched a show on Pan's Labyrinth's miniature scenery, was fascinating.
