Thanks. Riolu was actually in the original sketch for this, but while it is based on a dog it is not just a dog. Riolu is bipedal and its design did not fit with the look I was going for, and it stood out to much from the others.

I am not a big fan of lillipup either, but its to much of a puppy not include it. It's design and normal typing just does make it very popular!
