You remember her, right? Tara's beloved tarantula! THE Cutie Crawlie, and one of Tara's very bestest of friends!It definitely helps that she is an accomplished healer with an anesthetic venom, and can produce healing webs to bandage up wounds. But even disregarding that, Tara LOVES spiders. She loves eight-legged hugs, cuddling against their fuzzy bodies, and giving them snacks to sip on. And she regards Rosie much like a family dog!

Only thing...is that Rosie starts feeling anxious when she reaches adulthood and full size.
Sure, now her healing abilities have been vastly upgraded. She's learned some degree of Wind Magic, allowing her to ride on a Web Balloon to fly around. She's even learned how to perform surgery! And she has much better eyesight now, so Tara has bought her spidey friend a sunhat to keep the sun out of her eyes.
Yet she's still nervous.
What if she finds a really nice male spider to mate with? What if her instincts make her want to eat him? What if she becomes too aggressive during brooding? What if her babies get eaten?? These growing pains and more make the prospect of growing up...scary. She just wants to be a good spider...

But Tara tells her not to worry.
She already IS a good spider.
And she WILL get a happily ever after no matter what. Tara promises her that much.

Well, honestly I don't have the most solid concept right now. It's not even for FA now, I just have this character idea and vague notion of a dark, very low fantasy setting and its main character.
A dhampir woman.

I could very well come up with something more or less down to earth, but wanna make sure first before I start.

Long dark hair, pale skin, bloodshot yellow eyes with slit pupils. She would look thin and sickly in the face but with a stronger body. She has a rope-burn hanging scar around her neck. Her clothes would be a worn tunic and pants with a belt.
That's all I got for now, I know it isn't much but I'm not an artist or designer, I'm a writer. I get notions and try to run with them.

So an idea I just had:
This character is basically a nerd who tends to be crazy prepared.
Like...the strength her body now has? She had to train for that, because she was kind of weak as far as Vampires go.
But more than that, she reads and researches like hell to get by.
After all...she got that rope burn to begin with when she was being careless.

Oh, I had a character concept already, this was more for physical design. In this world vampirism is a real, if somewhat poorly understood medical condition that turns people into a Nosferaru/28 Days Later mashup.
Dhampir are created when someone tries to variolate a person against these diseases. Sometimes you come out a powerful but sickly looking hybrid, sometimes you die in shrieking agony, sometimes worse things happen.
Although the crazy-preparedness is something I pictured for her since stable Dhampir like her are employed for all sorts of dangerous jobs like hunting monsters.
