Description
Tails Adventure Plus Cosmo!Takes place near-immediately after the end of Sonic X Season 3! Only those who watched that will be familiar with this!
Just to recap, had a big space war. Ended up meeting Cosmo the Seedrian, a plant girl who's the last of her kind due to her people being wiped out by the evil race known as the "Metarex". Fought said Metarex in a big space war. Tails fell in love with Cosmo in the process, only for her to end up sacrificing herself when these guys were quite literally about to destroy the galaxy. Tails literally had to kill her with the best weapon he created, leaving only a single seed behind as a parting gift. Which had, predictably, left the poor guy utterly shattered. Like...holy SHIT.
Yeah, I don't really do the 4Kids portrayal of that scene. I like my characters' emotional reactions to be completely non-subtle, thank you very much!
Well...up until he ran scans on the flower, and discovered it was sentient! The telepathic Morse Code messages it gave off suggested it had Cosmo's intelligence, meaning she was coming back! Days later, she was capable of speaking to him through the plant's telepathy! His spirits picked up knowing she'd be back, but until then, he decided to take some time off to relax his nerves after the trauma of the incident. Thus...a vacation to Cocoa Island.
Except assholes showed up.
The Battle Kukku Army! A fascist army of Mobian birds who seek to create a totalitarian world where birds reign supreme. Turns out while Eggman and the others were bumming around in space, they saved resources ahead of time, before that whole space hullabaloo broke out. AND set up bases worldwide already! Therefore, when Eggman was just beginning to get back into business, the Battle Kukkus only needed one day to finish militarizing the world! All they have to do now is get rid of that one pesky little kid who humiliated them so many years ago, in "Tails Adventure". (Probably nobody's even heard of that game, but it exists!)
So...he's fighting the Battle Kukku's army of BIRBS. And this time...he's not doing it alone. Because you better believe that even though she's still a flower, Cosmo has all sorts of neat gimmicks!

I was wondering when you'd find out about Cosmo

Oh yeah dude. Believe it or not, Tails x Cosmo been a thing for me even before I did dA, during my early days on the Interwebz when I was young and foolish. But it's just recently that I've actually started getting a bit creative with it!
Plus you know! Bringing a way to integrate her back into the plotline that involves cool gameplay. XD

Well then, if it's an epic journey Tails is going on, I'd say he needs an epic weapon to fight all these avian baddies!
Some kind of sword, perhaps?
And knowing Tails, he's probably gonna try and build some fancy mech suit for Cosmo to help her get around until her body can regenerate.

Oh yeah! Tails being an inventor, he manages to make two particularly neat weapons!
Shocker Sword - An electrified melee weapon that can also knock flying enemies out of the sky, stunning them long enough to make his attack!
Chaos Cannon - Just like the one he has in Sonic Battle, he can use it to launch different kinds of projectiles at enemy hoards!
*Energy Ball - Simple, straight-shooting, good damage. Good for reliable damage output.
*Magnet Missiles - Spread-out projectiles that home in, to clear out lots of enemies on screen.
*Zap Cannon - Fires out beams of shocking electricity. Paralyzes, and amps up Shocker Sword Damage.
*Flash Bang - A way to sneak past enemies that are too powerful, or stun them in place.
-----------------
AND...Cosmo supporting him, from the inside of a mechanical pot. Using a small quantity of Chaos Energy she's had since revival to their advantage!
No-Fall Flower - Using this, Cosmo can use her petals to cancel vertical momentum, allowing him to fly in the air freely without falling.
Healing Roots - She can extend roots into the ground to suck in rings from the vicinity, healing Tails.
Thorn Armor - She covers Tails in vines with outward-pointing vines, that damage anything that attacks him.
Flicky Aroma - She can emit a sweet Aroma that attracts Flickies into surrounding Tails, and assist him for a short time. VERY high damage!
------------------
Stuff like that! ALSO HELENA CAMEO.

And when Tails collects all seven Chaos Emeralds and activates his Super Mode, Cosmo appears in spectral form to assist him!

All of this stuff is simple, yet perfect for his mission! Because his feathered foes are truly powerful enemies. Including the bosses. Which are all birds!
- A Little Blue Penguin, with ice skates and a rocket on her back that lets her slide on the ground at high speeds. Is cute but terrifying.
- A Bald Eagle who is a crazed army general in an eagle tank that shoots firework missiles at you, and ends up going Rambo on Tails. 'MURICA.
- A Bearded Vulture who has necromancer abilities, summoning ghosts and skeletons, while using weapons made of bones.
- Aaaaaand Helena. She racked up debt on video game micro-transactions, and ended up being drafted without her consent. Hahaaa.

Hey, by the by, I came up with a few concepts for levels for this today. Let me know what you think.
-Chilly the Penguin
Stage: Frozen Military Base
An abandoned former G.U.N base that's been iced over for Chilly's nefarious purposes. Most of the enemies are old G.U.N security mechs, with a few Kukku grunts mixed in.
ACT 1: BASE EXTERIOR
Same as any other level, Tails drops in from the Tornado. He's greeted warmly by hordes of mechs and annoying-but-stupid bird grunts. Most of the stage consists of deactivating security switches to open the main gate, then it's on to the interior. BGM: Sonic 3 OST - Ice Cap Zone Act 1 www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYxlqT…
ACT 2: BASE INTERIOR
Security is thicker here, so Tails decides he needs the big guns. Shifting the Tornado into walker mode, he proceeds into a stage that should feel quite familiar to SA2 veterans- it's a near carbon-copy of Prison Lane. Mechs abound as you navigate the twisting hallways, though don't go too fast and miss a cleverly hidden collectible. BGM: Megaman X OST - Chill Penguin stage (Genesis Remix) www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhMGgi…
ACT 3: CONTROL ROOM BOSS FIGHT
Chilly has three main attacks:
1. Use her rocket pack to slide around on the floor, trying to ram you.
2. Use her freeze gun to create ice blocks, which she then throws at you.
3. Upon reaching half health, she'll jump up, opening a vent in the ceiling that shoots a blast of ice at you. Getting hit by this briefly freezes Tails.
Chilly's attacks don't do much damage, but every hit temporarily disables Cosmo's powers, as she's more easily harmed by the cold. She's most vulnerable after her slide attack, as after a few cycles back and forth around the arena, she'll crash and become dazed for a few moments.
-Sergeant Hondo the Eagle
Stage: Jungle City
A tropical city under siege by the Kukku, Sgt. Hondo has taken it upon himself to "liberate" its citizens. ...And by "liberate", he means loot the city, blow up a bunch of buildings, and burn down the surrounding jungle.
ACT 1: HIGHWAY CHASE
This stage starts you off in the Tornado, chasing Hondo as he attempts to flee into the fortress of a city on his motorcycle. Keeping on his tail is no easy task, as there's enemy planes and helicopters chasing you, not to mention Hondo himself has one of his lieutenants in a sidecar shooting missiles at you. Not much to remember here besides "chase Hondo and blow up anything that gets in your way". The Tornado is armed with machine guns (which have infinite ammo), and missiles (which don't, though you can pick up more by killing marked enemies and flying through rings) BGM: Cadillacs & Dinosaurs Stage 1-1 (YM2612 Mix) www.youtube.com/watch?v=AioNTq…
ACT 2: JUNGLE ON FIRE
Well, Cosmo isn't gonna like the looks of this place. Trees are on fire everywhere, so you've got burning branches falling on you at random intervals. Mechs armed with flamethrowers are marching around trying to torch you, as well as Kukku Grunts with grenade launchers and machine guns. And watch out for the Kukku Ninjas trying to ambush you by jumping out of the smoke!
BGM: Mega Man X Corrupted - Warfare Milodon Stage www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-wTUd…
ACT 3: OIL REFINERY BOSS BATTLE
Tails channels his inner Solid Snake for this fight, taking on a tank while on foot. This would be another of those "circle strafe" battles, somewhat like the first Biolizard fight in SA2.
Attacks consist of:
-A machine gun volley that knocks Tails back, interrupting whatever attack he had charged.
-An explosive cannon shot, which temporarily blows away part of the floor.
-Armor-piercing cannon shots, which bounce back any projectile Tails uses against the tank.
-Hondo will occasionally pop out the top hatch to shoot Tails with his pistol, dodge his shots and attack him as this is when he is most vulnerable.

Duuuude...these are so well thought out. I am just absolutely blown away by the detail on this. XD
I enjoy that little detail in Chilly's boss fight, since it actually makes sense considering Cosmo's biology!
Not to mention, Jungle on Fire sounds like it'd be a really kick-ass stage to play!
I'll try to brainstorm some myself come tomorrow, cuz this is pretty much the gold standard.

Alright, here! I thought of more!
-Necron the Vulture
Stage: Palace of Akumajo Valdmire
An ancient castle, said to have once been home to a powerful vampire. Necron, a master...well, necromancer, wants to raise this vampire from the dead as his slave. It's bad enough he's with the Kukku Army, but he's also using a Chaos Emerald as a way to recharge his powers.
ACT 1: CASTLE GROUNDS
In traditional haunted castle fashion, it's dark and stormy when you arrive. (when ISN'T it?) Almost immediately, you're set upon by magic-wielding Kukku soldiers and their undead thralls. Fight your way through this platforming-intensive level, and you're treated to a cutscene in which Tails finds a G.U.N R-1B Flying Wolf parked near the castle's outer wall. Investigating a commotion at the front gate, he finds Rouge fighting off a bunch of undead soldiers. Help her defeat them, and she explains that the palace belonged to her ancestors. Worried that Necron will destroy the castle and all its valuable treasure with his rituals, she's come to stop him. BGM: Castlevania OST - Vampire Killer www.youtube.com/watch?v=buTtWG…
ACT 2: CRUMBLING KEEP
Ohhh, dios mio....a stealth level. If you remember the Library Escape sequence from Hitman Absolution, this will look familiar. Necron's goons are out en masse to hunt you down, and Tails has no choice but to get sneaky in order to progress. If you're not good at the ninja shit, don't worry; these zombies are blind and deaf compared to your average stealth game baddie. BGM: Splinter Cell Chaos Theory OST - Ruthless Reprise www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVaI1S…
ACT 3: THRONE ROOM BOSS BATTLE
Remember what Rouge said about this castle belonging to her ancestors? Yeah, well if you were paying attention to most of the undead goons you've been taking down, you'd notice most of them seemed a little bat-like. She now knows this, and she's PISSED. When Necron summons a giant golem to fight you (think Egg Golem in SA2, except he can move around), Rouge hops in her Flying Wolf and invites you to kick some ass alongside her. This is another walker stage, just like Act 2 of Chilly's stage.

And Tails will occasionally get help from his friends, too!
Sonic and Knuckles will definitely be there to back him up, and even Shadow will lend a hand once you get to the Vulture's stage.

Oh man, would they ever be! No need to make him save the world alone after all!
- Shadow does indeed lend a hand. Partly to defeat a common enemy. Partly to show a little decency after attempting to assassinate her during the Metarex Wars. Luckily for him, Cosmo already forgave him, but wanted him to help anyway.
- Although Tails might have a tough time with the Grand Master himself. Because um...img.fireden.net/vg/image/1433/… He's f***ing strong. HE'S REALLY F***ING STRONG. As in...there's a level where he chases him throughout his battleship, after everything else failed to dispose of him. And promptly tear-asses through said ship, practically blowing it apart WITH HIS BARE HANDS.
- And THEN, Tails fights him on top of the flying battleship when it's sinking, and JUST ONE HIT sends poor Tails careening off. Be careful.

Heck, even Dr. Eggman would try to help! (even if Cosmo despises him.)
