Found a few good SCP's lately that I might get to drawing! PHEW, am I glad that I finished those two commissions, just giving my hand a bit of a break now.

ANYWAY, let's get to the meaty bits, shall we?

What is it?

Essentially it is a companion piece to another series of animated toys known as "The Mewts". The Mewts are actually a bunch of plush toys that look like rabbit-headed puppet things with no arms, no mouths, no noses, and really long black-and-white striped socks covering their legs. There are 64 Mewts total, 43 adults, 21 juveniles (they reproduce by touching the white buttons on their front sweater with each other, but the juveniles don't actually grow up). But apparently....Mewts are dolls that are designed to be the perfect companion for any boy and girl. Regardless of personality, play-style, family issues, they are designed to be THE perfect playmate, and more than that, a guardian that these children can depend on. So to say "They are protectors of everything we hold dear. We are what they hold dear".

Up until Snoozee, nothing has stopped it from carrying out its duty. House fires, abusive parents, car accidents....The Mewts saved their respective children from them ALL. They were made to begin with for this very purpose, and created with a reproductive function so that Mewts in the future can one day do the same.

And Snoozee....he used to be a Mewt. One who was loved by the family who owned him. And he was setting his sights on a mate, known as SCP-1926-43, or "Lovely". Snoozee loved and protected this child, like just about every Mewt. Until that one day that sealed their fate...

An entity which eventually became an SCP escaped. The exact one specifically is unknown since the data got expunged. But it fooled Snoozee into wrongly believing a false prophecy that said something outside the house would kill the child. What he didn't know was that same entity lured Snoozee away, leaving the child with only one guardian that couldn't hold it off by herself. Busting itself out at the last minute and then killing the child who had epilepsy in the middle of his sleep. Inflicted upon the child a nightmare that triggered an epileptic seizure...and by then, Snooze and Lovely were too late.

To this day, Lovely can't stand the sight of Snoozee. She blames him for letting it escape, and letting the child die. She blames him for failing to protect their family's pride and joy, and she blames him for attracting the attention of the SCP Foundation. That fate which eventually caused every other Mewt known to exist to be confiscated, and carried off to the Foundation. As if to embody his fall from grace, Snoozee himself was transformed from a Mewt into a tiny, physically weaker creature. A stunted parody of a Mewt. One which EVERY Mewt hates to bits, to the point of physically abusing him day after day despite his attempts to reach out to them.

Snoozee is alone....and so is Lovely. For she blames herself as well for not being strong enough, and knows in her heart that Snoozee tried his best. But simply can't bring herself to be near him for being reminded of her own failure as well. And...she wouldn't dare stand up against what every other Mewt believes. Not yet at least.

What would THEY do?

At this point, Snoozee had truly reached a low point. In a state of despair, he was officially the most outcasted of them all, spending his days alone and no longer caring if it was with another Mewt. He just wanted to be loved by somebody. ANYBODY.

It was then that he found out about The Eccentrix....a massive organization which is practically made of outcasts, oddities, so many people and creatures that don't fit into normal society who have banded together to build a world more spectacular than anything ever seen before. And, one who accepts into their society people who are cast out and trodden upon by a larger society. Also including helping out SCP's who need help, and getting them on a road to recovery from their previous living conditions. This was the moment he had been waiting for!

The other Mewts tried to come off all friendly-like to King Norbert, looking like fluffy, adorable little dollies which have lots of love, and lots of happiness...and then they started to kick the sh** out of Snoozee right in front of him. They attempted to carry Snoozee off so he wouldn't get to say a word, until Norb pretty much shouted at them, and demanded them to quiet down....and let him talk.

It was then that Snoozee told him the truth. All of it. What the Mewts used to be....what they were made for. Why they exist. And why they are the way now. And he admitted with all his heart that HE was the reason they're like this to begin with. It was HIS fault. HIS screw-up. And with that he asked....

"I don't care what happens to me anymore but...my brothers and sisters...and everyone else who I love. You don't have to love me back anymore. But Mr. King....take them to a good home. Let them be the playmates and good guardians they were meant to be. All I want now is the best for them all, no matter what....after all....I still love you."

It was then that he started to go back on the road to Mewt-dom. He had proved himself to have the biggest heart of them all. Even with all the abuse they had inflicted upon him for months, perhaps years, he still put them before himself. And with that....Norbert took them ALL home. Back to the city to begin again.

The other Mewts are beginning to think...it's still fun to kick him around, but maybe he's not SO bad. I mean he set us all free...but let's see him try to make up for what happened back then.
