Months ago, there has been a situation that I would rly like to address about. This topic is about AI Art. There is a conflict between people who work hours or perhaps DAYS to create an image, and people who just create an image in seconds and call themselves artists. I find it cool that there’s technology that can produce an original image based on what you wanted to speed up development, BUT what’s not cool is that its being used as a shortcut to gain popularity and money! Some people who use AI say that they do it just for fun, which is kind of understandable, but it just puts actual artists into a situation that they’re being replaced. Actual artists had to put a lot of time and energy to work on an image they have been requested or commissioned to do. Artists even have to go through things outside of creating art that they have to deal with. AI “artists” just type in tags into a website like NovelAI to generate an image in seconds based on people’s requests, AND SOME WERE EVEN COMMISSIONED TO DO SO. Its not fair how AI “artists” who lack the skill to draw or create something with their bare hands get better treatment than actual artists who put effort into their work. AI “artists” are not to be paid for their way of producing images by doing nothing, and actual artists should deserve respect. In conclusion, do not support AI “artists” who tend to abuse NovelAI to gain popularity. Because they don’t deserve it.
