Personality/Background:

Ace Storm is a calm stallion with a heart of gold, he’s also a bit of an anomaly, in the sense that unlike their mothers they seem to hold some sort of a connection to magic. As a young filly, Ace Storm had trouble finding their calling, they’d pass flying tests and races with ease but never earn their cutie mark. This got Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash more and more worried as time went on. After a while of this, they took them to Twilight for help, who advised them to let Ace explore various different things, cause the way things were looking, they weren’t gonna get a cutie mark in flying.

Twilight’s advice paid off, as a few weeks later, Ace received their cutie mark, whilst toying around with some random plants and playing make believe with Dusk Shine and Comet Glory, they accidentally concocted a potion. His face lit up in excitement, and rushed off to show his mothers. Whilst they were supportive, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash were also worried, neither of them knew how to handle potions or magic, this sort of left a rift between them and Ace, more so between Ace and Rainbow Dash. This rift sort of stuck and is still present today as around his early teen years, Ace and Rainbow Dash seemed to drift from awkwardly encounters to barely any conversations.

Presently, Ace works at an apothecary centered at the heart of Nox Regnum and run by their mentor, Zecora.

Relationships:

Rainbow Dash didn’t know how to help or what to do around Ace, with Snow Storm she connected through flying and aerobatics. Ace Storm didn’t do that, they read Magical Theories, created elixirs, gathered ingredients etc.
Fluttershy had a better time connecting to Ace, she was a Veterinarian and their potions often helped the animals she took care of. Additionally they both spent time documenting their findings on their respective interests together.
