Sometimes she may take things a little too literally. "A potion to lift my spirits!" Let's just say there were a quite a few more ghosts roaming Salem by the next day. Although she loves causing a bit of chaos, she's quite generous and will always give you the potions you originally wanted, free of charge. At the very least, she'll make sure to give a full refund to any unsatisfied customers.

Some say that she's quite childish for playing such silly pranks, and some even go as far to say that it would make sense given her size. However don't get caught saying it to her face, or you may find yourself fixed with a curse, or bad potion within the following weeks. That's because of her more... Sadistic nature. Maybe it's because of her obsession with Cthulhu, but she's always enjoyed the misfortune of others... But, if you manage to stay in her good graces, you'll find that she's actually very motherly. A babies cries echoed through the otherwise silent, pitch black woods that surrounded the log cabin where the source of the sound spilled from. A worn out, blonde, young, woman hushed and held a newborn tightly, rocking her back and forth. The baby eventually calmed down and lulled to sleep, peacefully. The blonde woman looked out the window into the darkness, as she held her sleeping baby. She was alone, no significant other to hold her hand and tell her that everything would be okay. But she was strong. And now she had a wicked little one to look after...

The sound of knocking at her door startled the woman awake. She must've dozed off while she was resting. She panicked for a moment, but stayed silent. Then the knock came again, but this time it was a pattern. Knock, Knock, knock, the sound of knuckles dragging in a circle, knock. She let out the breath she had been holding, and waved her hand at the door. A blue aura surrounded the door for a split second before it creaked open. "Hello mother."

The blonde witch's elderly mother stepped inside, shaking off her snow covered umbrella, "Goodness, Aria! Sleeping by yourself out in the open, only the day after you've had your child. Honestly you should be more careful..."

The young mother, Aria, rolled her eyes, "Yes, mother. Of course! I should have handed my child to my lover to help me look after her while I slept. Oh, but wait, I don't have a lover... You know, because he's dead." She practically growled.

The elderly witch frowned and sighed, frustrated. "I'm sorry... You know I'm just worried about you and your newborn..."

"I know mother... But I'm not a child anymore. I'm a powerful witch who can take care of herself..." Aria wouldn't look her mother in the eyes, but she knew she was frowning.

"Yes, of course..." The senior walked closer to her daughter and spoke quietly, "Is this her..." Aria smiled warmly, and pulled back the blanket that rested softly against her babies cheek. "Oh my," There was a twinkle in her mothers eyes, "she looks so lovely..." Her wrinkled hand caressed Elinor's face, and ran through the small wisps of blonde hair atop her head. "She reminds me of you when you were just a babe." Elinor yawned and snuggled closer into her mother's bosom. "You must keep her safe... Raise her under Cthulhu's watchful eye. Stay away from the edges of the sanctuary. You know how dangerous it is for young witches out there. She won't have any control of her powers for a very long time. And..." She reached into the satchel at her side. "Give her these gifts when she's ready to go off on her own." The first item, was a birch wood-burned wand, then she pulled out a rather large egg. It's shell was covered in hard black obsidian like rock, and had deep shades of blues and blacks.

Aria's mother kissed her on her forehead, and then on Elinor's. "I must go... I have important business to attend to... I'm sorry I can't stay."

"It's okay mother. We'll be safe. I'll keep us safe." Aria covered Elinor back up and adjusted her. Her mother was standing by the door now.

She pulled up her cloak and smiled, "I know you will." And with that she opened the door letting in a cold gust of air. Aria glanced out the window and watched as her mother flew away on her broomstick with her familiar. "I'll keep us safe."

Elinor grew up learning all about magic, Cthulhu, and the evil humans, which she learned quickly to fear thanks to her grandmother's stories. Aria kept a watchful eye on her and made sure no harm ever came to them. They did almost everything together. Brew spells, wash the dishes, cook food, tend the garden; They even slept in the same room together. Although there were a handful of times when her little trouble maker would wonder off while Aria was distracted with something.

Elinor never wandered far though. She was too afraid she might somehow run into a human... No, instead she would wander the nearby woods and befriend creatures. She loved collecting herbs, mushrooms, rocks, and other small items that looked cool. She would explore to her hearts content before returning home to her mothers chagrin. She would be scolded but that was usually the extent of it. Aria knew that the older she got the more she would want her freedom.

Eventually the day came when it was time for Elinor to go off on her own. "I won't be far my, little wicked..." Her mother held her tightly in a bittersweet embrace.

"I know mother, I'll visit often." Elinor promised.

After they parted Aria wiped a tear from her eye. "Here you'll be needing this." She handed her a broom that had been wood burned and cast with many spells. It's a broom that had been handed down through many generations of their family. "It's your turn to take Korid. Keep him safe. You'll have to pass him on to your heir one day."

Elinor ran her hand along Korid's handle, feeling all it's grooves and curves. "I can feel spells of the past flowing through his fibers." She sat on the old broom and felt a power wash over her. Elinor could hear her ancestors whispers from long ago, and they were happy to finally meet her. Her feet lifted softly off the ground, as Korid began to levitate.

"Before you go... Your grandmother wanted you to have these." Aria handed her daughter a beautiful birch wand and an old messenger bag. "Don't open it until you've settled into your own place. This wand will replace your practice one... Fly safely my love..."

Elinor put the bag around her shoulder, and stashed the wand in the Obi around her waist, "I will mother. I'm not a little girl anymore. I'm a powerful witch, that can take care of herself."

Aria's eyes filled with nostalgia, and she smiled. "I know, wicked. Call me when you're settled." And with that Elinor lifted into the air upon Korid, and soared into the distance until she could no longer see the smoke from her mother's chimney.
