I think most of the traditional Chinese paintings were inspired by the landscapes of Guang Xi and Hu Nan

yes, that they were. The original landscapes took simple brush strokes and made them more intricate and thus expanding the look and depth of the most simple landscapes. The traditional chinese landscapes were simply amazing, and as they got more complex, they also managed to hold some of the early tradition.
