Kenai Mountains. We were driving in a canyon, it was cloudy above and almost dark already, when this last ray of sunlight broke through the clouds somewhere and illuminated just this spot in the entire landscape, for two minutes or so.. It was pretty amazingpt. II is here: [link]

You're certainly right. Having a little bit of that rich, red sunlight helps but as previously noted, the blue makes the scene more complete. In general when I'm looking for a good evening or morning picture and the sun is up, I'm looking for a picture with a lot of shadows (especially trees and things) where you have a good mixture between shade and sunlight. This definitely fits the bill right here. Very well done.

Yeah this definitely makes the scene more complete. I had a hard time finding out what I was really looking at when I saw the first one, but now I can obviously tell what the scene is like now. Very good.
