What kind of filter do you use, wratten (or what they are called)?

used a HiTech Infrared filter on a production nikon d70 for this one. I think this filter is most similar to Cokin 007

Hmm, good to know. IΒ΄m gonna buy a new Nikon D80 this spring/summer and going to convert it to IR and usual pic with lenses, but donΒ΄t know witch one...

just put an ir filter on the lens and the camera on a tripod...

hoya r72 is the most versatile and most popular filter..
you can change the colours in PS using channel mixer or hue adjustment

just desaturate and lighten their colour in hue dialog

so do u use layer masks and what not? if you do doest that mean u trace around all the trees w/ a brush? if thats what u do then why even use the IR filter? u can pretty much do it all in photoshop..

try and see that the effect won't be as nice
IR shots are usually duochrome - plants have one colour and the rest - another.. that's why one doesn't have to brush between the leaves

I don't know for sure.. their IR reflecting properties are just so specific
