Based off of a Steam chat I had the other day with *Zerus63I made this just to show some of the good people--myself included--who are all making an effort to stop this drama by dropping out of it. It's unhealthy, y'know? But I'm proud of y'all.

Why do I feel like the only way this drama is gonna end is either that arthuurs either...
1. Sees the error of his ways (Which he most likely never will)
2. Leaves DA
3. Gets a beating from the BH. (Banned from DA)

I didn't want to be involved. People tried involving me. I tolerated them, stayed away as best I could, until I found myself knee-deep in the mire of arrogance and emotion. I jumped out, locked these people away, and I've been on the side ever since.
The core of the problem, I believe, is that some people just don't listen to any advice. They always want to come out top, to be the 'big boy/girl' of the group. In the process, they attempt to step on others higher than themselves, and fall. Humiliated and in pain, they try to cut us down to get a better reach, but most of us wear the armour of maturity and wisdom, their dulled blades skipping off our armour.
But the point still remains - we have stayed away from all the drama (mostly) as best we could, and that is all we need.

rrriiiiggght, listen, I'm still going to tell people the same old thing till its all gone, for good, any small speck of it, or at least an unnoticeable amount.
heres somethings you can start to do to get rid of this, because I know the outside opinion:
1. keep non-dA things off of dA, like rants about tf2 or so, people have agreed with me that thats what facebooks for, and I know you have a facebook shadow.
2. no hate art, people do not appreciate hate art or ranting journals.
3. no making big deals about stuff, too often have I seen people make huge fucking deals about things they don't like, and then make hate art which brings us back to number 2. If you have an issue with what someone else has posted, or say's, or does, sort it out with them personally and don't drag everyone into it.
these are pretty much what the outside people think is wrong with your community, now fix it, unless you want to be alone. I'm a slightly ticked off guy at your community but I will be agreeable because it isn't fair that your actions re ruining other people who don't get involved in drama, like strombadger.

and steam has nothing to do with it, I refer to number 1 about dragging non dA issues onto dA. Steam has nothing to do with dA, and hence your argument is void.

There are plenty of people here who don't have steam, and because they don't ahve steam exactly proves why I'm a reliable resource, because if they don't have steam then they are defiantly outside of the gmod community and therefore have outside opinions that are non-bias.

If I may interject here, considering you mentioned my name.
First: you're talking to a select group of tenacious Garry's Modders who, even if the community collapses, they will still keep at it. You're wasting your time trying to tell these people they're ruining their own reputation. Some of them gained their good reputation by having the balls to act like they do, and you should respect that. Just like you, as you said in an earlier post, are arrogant and don't think it can be changed, you shouldn't waste your metaphorical breath with this. It's wasted effort and you'll just end up being disliked by more people.
Second: I noticed you and Turk arguing about the relationship to dA and Steam. The DeviantART community is as wide and expansive as any social networking website. We Garry's Modders use DeviantART as a place to show off our skill. We all know that dA has other people in it. Hell, I've basically shifted communities over time, so I have first-hand experience with it. Plus I've seen work everywhere else, and I know there are many sub-communities.
Third: Most of us couldn't give two fucks about watchers, or if other people outside of our community hate us. They have almost no relevance to what we do, so we don't need their watches or their 'good job's. Bonus if we do get them, but no big drama if we don't. If they don't like our stuff, they can just come over here and bring it up with us. No need for an ambassador.
So, to summarise, your advice will not be followed through by other people, even if the community is hated or doomed or what-have-you. I suggest dropping the point, and focusing not how to make us 'better', and how to make yourself better.
And don't bother arguing this with me; I'm not someone worth talking to.

i agree, the majority of da consists of drawings,fan art and cosplayers.
seeing gmod work is very rare to find,all of da see us

I know the drama at this point is completely out of control, and we should definitely get rid most if not all of the negative drama. However, I have come to realize that there can be some positive drama, and if we get rid of all of the drama for good, the community may actually become boring. So what I say is, end it for now, but be sure to have some sprinkled about from time to time, or else things may get too docile. A healthy dosage of drama is fine, but like any drug, it can kill in too much increments.
