Define "upright" - what about ostriches, emus, rheas, and the other ratites?

"Upright - erect or vertical, as in position or posture" Emus, ostriches etc, don't stand/walk like penguins, now, do they? Penguins stand upright and straight... Emus etc, don't.

And they are so darn adorable when they do.
Also, they can surf, sled, ski, swim, slide, hop and so much more. Only the flying is hard. Unless oyu count flying under water
