I wonder if this means you can make peanut butter out of diamonds xD

Maybe, but people are more likely to make sandwiches from peanut butter; PB&J tastes better than diamonds. X3

Or some of their hair. 1 cup of dog hair can be sent into this one company who will have it turned into a diamond of your pets carbon-- great for pet owners who miss fido, lol.

Actually, the myth they busted was "homemade" diamonds, using microwaves and pressure cookers.
In the same episode they proved explosives can compress graphite into low quality diamonds.

And peanut butter.
Yes, explosives can make diamonds, but I don't think peanut butter can.

The experiment involving peanut butter was the one with the microwave, if I'm not mistaken (And microwaves can't produce the amount of heat or pressure required).
The substance itself doesn't matter so much as the amount of carbon in it. And granted, while peanut butter would not be the ideal substance for manufacturing diamonds (the carbon count is lower than graphite) it is possible.

It's not. While peanut butter doesn't contain the amount of carbon that graphite or silica does, it is indeed possible to make diamonds, with enough heat and force, from peanut butter.

Peanut Butter must have a lot of carbon. This is one of those theoretical things. Industrial diamonds are man made diamonds that are purposed for drill bits, saw blades, grinding surfaces.
If you go to an outdoor/sports store or department, where you find the knives you might find a diamond sharpener. It isn't a whole diamond but its surface is probably sprayed with tiny diamonds similar to the way molds are sprayed with glass to create a different textured surfaces upon soft metalsβthe one that looks cloudy behind the bust of a President or Monarch, perhaps.
I doubt they use peanut butter for making industrial diamonds, but anything with a high carbon makeup would work. Remember: diamonds are dense enough to cut glass and steel like a razor on paper.
