Description
Unbelievable, right? So to anyone who's seen 'My Christmas Wish Came True' a drawing I did to tribute to my success at beating the Lost in the Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, this follows a similar meaning. In Enter the Gungeon, a couple of days ago, I got the LEAD GOD achievement. To those who don't know, the Lead God achievement is when you basically have to collect all 5 master rounds in one run, which can only be gotten by beating bosses without taking damage. This means you have to beat all main 5 floor bosses, including that High Dragun, in one run, taking 0 damage in each.
And I owe a lot of it to The Bullet and his Blasphemy Sword. That sword was all I ever needed, EVER, to get past pretty much everything before the Dragun. After that I needed something with high damage and I was lucky enough to find one of my favourite guns in the game, the Compressed Air Tank.
Now the Bullet shall live on forever as the true Lord of Lead!! And this GIF I made shall mark his accomplishment like a stone.

Yeah, I will admit, Wallmonger is a jerk at first. But if you angle your Blasphemy every now and then to reach the bullets that travel side ways as well as move back and forth between every swing to give yourself quick distance from sudden incoming bullets, you should eventually have it... hopefully

Oh, right. Yeah, that can be annoying. Because you have to constantly dodge roll a couple of times to put yourself out while at the same time making sure you don't dodge roll into the plethora of bullets... which in most cases is impossible to do simaltaneously

TitaniumGrunt7, i am always trapped in my quest to obtain the Lead God, and when i tried with the Bullet after many failed attempts with the Marine, my luck runs out by the bosses in this goddamn quest (especially the Gatling Gull, Trigger Twins, Ammoconda, Tanknought, Wallmonger, High Priest and the Dragun).

Unfortunately, this achievement requires a lot of practise and luck. My advice would be: Remember to use blanks if you think your sword will be delayed, be extremely careful when you have no shields as taking at least half a heart of damage will reduce Blasphemy's usefulness dramatically, remember that your immune to damage, do not use Blasphemy against the High Dragun, for this you need a strong gun like the RailGun or BlackHole Gun, and lastly acquiring items such as Guon Stones, Owl and a Level 6 Ser Junkan can be extremely helpful at defending yourself from overwhelming amounts of incoming bullets

I agree with you, but i always have don't get cool items, such as weapons, Guon Stones or whatever it is. I always try to get Ser Junkan when i get out of keys by breaking chests (excepting the coolest ones), but it only gives me the goddamn regular Junk. As for the bosses, what i hate more is the Ammoconda because of his attack paterns and sentinels, the Tanknought, as it summons Tankers and shoots every type of bullet and the High Priest, which i hate more these floating bullets. And as for the High Dragun, it does summon homing skulls, throw knifes with rifles, spit a wave of fire bullets and whatever kind of crap it does.

I guess you just have to wait for the perfect run, where most of those bosses don't appear and you get a tone of good damage & equipment. My suggestion for when you do get a really strong weapon. Drop it and then pick it back up so that it's all ways next to your Blasphemy. This way you can practise quick-switching so you can power through bosses with your huge gun and if a sudden barrage of bullets come your way or you get pinned, quickly switch to Blasphemy and slash through them all

I even try to slash the bullets depending on the random boss i encounter on each level, but i fail to keep my luck every time a boss hits me with each barrage, and i get a few times the Ser Junkan. I thought that obtaining two Junks would give me that, but no! Always the goddamn regular Junk, geez!
As for the weapons, i get useless ones such as the Small R, or the Corsair. Before that, i thought the Sling was useless, but it deals some high damage and if i get a useless weapon like the Derringer or whatever i give it to the Sell Creep or the Weapon Eater.

Well, it will happen eventually. Have you unlocked a lot of higher guns yet? If not you should probably wait until then before you next attempt such a challenege

I unlocked some higher guns like the Akey-47, the Raiden Bobine, the Scientific Laser Cannon, etcetera. I get aware of the Casey's power, as despite its ability of counter bullets and high melee damage, it would sometimes remove my luck if i get hit by some bullets if getting near to a enemy or boss. Not to forget that is a cursed item or weapon.

I'm mostly talking about the REALLY powerful guns like Yari Launcher or the MakeShift Cannon. Primarily weapons that deal a massive amount of damage immediately rather than most rapid fire weaponry that deal minor damage over time. I think over-all though what you need to work on is being more aware of your surroundings, try to look around yourself quick when engaging in a fire fight and obtain good reflexes

In the Steam Forum i saw a user having posted a commentary explaining that when the quest for the Lead God achievement goes rough and you want to end it fast on each boss you encounter, it showed three powerful items i saw in the EtG wiki: the Yari Launcher, the Makeshift Cannon and the Aged Bell.
The Aged Bell is one of the powerful three items i used, as it stops time and dissappears the bullets when you walk towards them. I used it against a group of Shell Kins and i defeated Bulletrog by using the Aged Bell two times, but unfortunately i lost it against the Wallmonger. I unlocked the Yari Launcher, but i didn't have it yet.

All right, as for items I think the main item that will make getting all the Master Rounds solid is the Full Metal Jacket. Getting hit will not count as damage as long as you have blanks, plus it can protect your red hearts when you're using Blasphemy. You'll occasionally find this item being sold by Old Red, so try to save up on money and only buy items when absolutely necessary. After all, the Gungeon's shops can be quite expensive, unfortunately

I agree with you, but ¿ doesn't that result in failing the quest if the boss hits your shield? I don't understand the fact you told me of "getting hit will not count as damage when you have the Full Metal Jacket".

TitaniumGrunt7 In reply to spock2001 [2017-02-14 01:48:11 +0000 UTC]
Because when you get hit, the Full Metal Jacket activates a blank before you actually take damage to your HP metre, that's why it won't count when you get hit

I try to defeat each boss without getting hit, but if i get hit with or without shields, i am completely screwed.

Well of coarse, the aim is to not take any damage to your HP metre at all. The Full Metal Jacket however negates each hit you take however as long as you have Blanks

I had the Full Metal Jacket, but when i was fighting against the Tanknought, i ran out of blanks and i lost in the goddamn quest. And, in fact, it didn't work.

So sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't work. Are you sure that when it didn't work you still had blanks left?

Thanks a lot! I guess that's the real reason they say 'never bring a knife to a gun fight (or in this case a sword)'...
'cause it ain't fair on the ones with guns
