Description This is my sketchy painting of the Strider's natural predator. The Strider is an almost 70 meters tall giant post-human that lives on a smaller gravity planet and took an appearance inΒ nemo-ramjet's Β All Tomorrows.

"About two million years after the Qu left their towering works of human art, a lineage of fearsome predators evolved from the terrestrial poultry that had gone feral on the planet. Resembling attenuated versions of their dinosaur ancestors, the predators swept through the garden world like wildfires, extinguishing any species too fragile to escape, or resist. The peaceful, delicate striders were among the first to go."

This is how I imagined these evolved terrestrial poultries, resembling to a mix of a Terror bird, a Pelagornis, and a non-avian theropod. Much bigger than any other theropod that lived on Earth, because of smaller gravity.

Hey, I remember that part! I like how you draw those 'giant monster chickens'. Good work!

Grass ten meters tall and league-tall trees...ah and what if said grass was meant to mean bamboo-like grasses? Or maybe this grass uhhh...whatever stood in as grass on this planet was incredibly tall...? Not meant to nitpick, but just a suggestion Β

No problem, speculation is a good stuff Β

If you look at the actual illustration on the website, you can see the grass and tree as well in the background, and thats why it can be (more or less) 70 meters tall, a few size comparison

For whatever reason I'm trying to go by the um..less seventy....meters...

Not bad, though I imagine the Avisraptor/Neo-Terror Bird would've been a little shorter than the Striders, not like the size difference between lions and giraffes but short enough they'd need to work as a pack to bring one down

Perhaps, but don't forget that gravity can allow things with that size so why not?

70 meters you say? Β These two drawn to scale?

Love the interpretation... I love All Tomorrows and was looking all over to see an image of the "Low-gravity, Dino-like Chicken" Keep up the awesome work Β Β

Thank you!Β
But the 70 is only my calculation based onΒ this Β painting and its description here Β inwhich he said the grass is 10 meters tall.
