...You know...I've been making a romantic Raven strips for years....it's a single or sometime two pages with no obivous story....
And I've been using the same guy over and over again...^^...it was a way I entertain myself...and educate..at the same time...

Heh. The best way. I learned to write by putting random OCs with Harry Potter. Though that was more of a "NEVER do something like this again" type of lesson...

^O^ but what I really see from Runescape is the emphasis to make it as real as possible....not just fighting, hack and slash but a deeper fantasy experience...

Guess they went a bit overboard to compromise fun with reality, but you can fix that..^^ being a priest means that you'll lose less items when dying....and if you reached certain HIGH levels, you'll lose nothing...

Maybe it's a problem that some initially-good-looking animes had...they didn't think of something solid...too many loose ends...with no clear indications of us ever finding out...(pretty much like Teen Titans season 5...STINKS..>O<..).

Like, there are so many great ideas that could be done with it that they just put them all in without thinking them all the way through first. They did that with both TeenTitans and .hack//

...Usually they start losing interest in the specific things they did, or they start to take it lightly since people already loved the first episodes..it's the very same thing that make many ambitious novels fizzle...><..it take a person with visions of perfection to make a masterpiece that is AKIRA...

Yes, yes...it's very sad...shame on them! I swear, if I dedicated myself to something, I would never do that, never let myself slide! I'd devote myself to it and make it as complete and perfect as possible.
Akira! I saw that today! Part of it, at least. What I did see though was awesome...It just felt like I was watching something very far beyond me...I love things like that. ^^

Some of it is still good. There are jewels every so often--anime that is strikingly beautiful, that takes your breath away, both in terms of art and plot...I like the clean, shiny, CG look of anime today just as much as I like the older, traditional, handdrawn look of past anime.

But it's beauty is skin-deep...when u look deeper....it doesn't have a visual meaning...its art is good but done in cliche like other animes before it...
You do notice that when u watch anime it always had the same feeling?....like the same color, the same atmosphere, the SAME visual style......
I don't hate Anime...it's just that when Akira first came, it was the MOST ground-breaking animation around. And anime was THE next big thing...
But now....they are milking a dry cow...anime has become TIRED...it has to find a new look, a new meaning, a new trademark....
So what I'm saying is, Akira IS the best anime because there's no other anime DARED to go as far as it does back then...

I completely understand. Do I agree? Mostly. Akira is incredible. But I see it more as a starting point for anime--it's like Akira is saying "Okay guys, you know you all want to look like me. So work hard and let's see if you can match me!" And no one can or ever will. But what people come up with isn't always half bad.
I guess I'm just optimistic about anime.^^
