Megatronus, otherwise known as ''The Fallen'', is one of the former members of the long extinct Dynasty of the Primes, the first transformers, the servants of Primus. Megatronus alongside his brother Sentinel Prime, was the second-in-commanding prime under the leadership of Prima. Assisting Prima in his desperate efforts to ensure the continuity of Cybertron in all it's entirety. Throughout the years of Cybertron's creation, Megatronus grown to fall in love with Solus Prime, whom she shared the same feelings as Megatronus. Though as the struggle for Cybertron's welfare grew evermore difficult. Sentinel's brother, Megatronus, became desperate in encouraging the legislation of using the Star Harvester on all stars, even if there is any signs of existing life. Prima and the other Primes immediately begun to isolate Megatronus, treating him as a lesser brother. As a result, fueling Megatronus' rage and disgust in the mere thought of his other Prime brothers. However, Sentinel and Solus' close relationship with Megatronus prohibited him from treating him as a lesser, despite his disagreement with the destruction of life to benefit his own kind, Sentinel and Solus continuously loved and supported Megatronus. However as Cybertron's tension of welfare grew, as did the tension within Megatronus, allowing Megatronus to stealthe key to the Star Harvester, the Matrix of Leadership, to activate the star harvester on a planet supporting life. Despite this, Solus Prime intervened and attempted to stop Megatronus and convince him to let his darkness within him go. Though after they were both forced to fight and Solus was accidently killed by Megatronus, this deeply enraged Megatronus for his own actions, however the other Primes did not take this lightly. Of which Megatronus was cast out by his brothers, no longer a Prime, now known as...''The Fallen''. Despite this, Sentinel Prime sought remedy for Megatronus' actions, though Megatronus' corruption had already shifted him from Megatronus the Prime, to the Fallen Prime. Sentinel Prime was forced to battle Megatronus, stopping him from absorbing the Sun, as a result destroying Earth which had life existing. Sentinel and the other Primes decided to seal him away, burying his amulet deep beneath Cybertron. As a result, the surviving Primes who didn't fall to the might of Megatronus sacrificed themselves to seal away the Matrix of Leadership on Earth in the Tomb of the Primes. However, commanding the Allspark to create new Cybertronians to carry out the future of their race. Although Sentinel was ordered to guide these new Transformers into the future.

The next generation of Cybertron, during the discovery of the Allspark, an amulet was discovered, the Amulet of the Fallen, containing his exiled spark, he intentionally called out to Megatron, beginning to corrupt him with his ideologies for the welfare of Cybertron. Eventually Megatron started the Decepticon cause, causing the Cybertronian civil war between the Autobots and Decepticons. After a treacharous battle on Earth in pursuit of the Allspark, the Decepticons, among them Megatron, were forcibly displaced back to Cybertron through a space brige. Of which the vengeful Megatron sought to prepare the decepticons on Cybertron for a full scale invasion on Earth. Though Megatron had an idea to help guarantee their victory. He grasped the amulet of the Fallen, and sought to find a way among the dead badlands of Cybertron, a way to release him, beginning the Revenge of the Fallen.
