Be oh so good and oh so pure,
Dare not be marred with dirt.
Fairytale Dream and Beauty Queen,
Sweet Virgin, through and through.
You are the light, the whitest white,
The Queen of Knights and Pawns,
Your destiny, claim victory
End game and end the tale.
2. The Truth
This is a life she did not choose.
No, not this royal stain,
This chequered mate has marked her pale
And bitter as the ice.
Watch her through your looking glass piece,
Making moves, losing ground,
She’s lost inside an endless game
That she can never win.
Denying the crimson colour
That was her sister’s sin,
Never hers, for she is as white…
As white as fallen snow.
And just as cold, colder than death,
Her heart no longer beats.
3. The Queen
King me, kill me, I do not care,
I am Queen of nothing.
This land is as empty as I am;
I have forgotten pain.
Such promises were made to me
But I was given lies
To trap me, play on forever,
Here on this plane, I ‘rule’.
4. The Colour.
Red is wicked, but passion too,
Love and lust and anger.
White is just white, and colourless,
Devoid and emptiness.
She is the light, whiter than white,
And yet she longs for life.
