Description
When Transformers Animated came out, I thought it was related to the 2007 live-action movie. Since it came at around the same time, and was called Animated after all. There was also misconception of the Japanese dub being presented as a prequel to the movie.

Still, what if the series sort of a sequel to the 2007 movie, like Spider-Man: The New Animated Series to the 2002 movie and Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes was to the 2005 movie.

The series would begin with the Autobots already living openly on Earth in the then-present day of the mid-to-late 2000s. Sam Witwicky and Mikaela Banes are heading off to college, leaving the "babysitting" to Sam's neighbor Sari Sumdac. In fact, the first episode I saw was the Halloween one with Blackarachnia, so I assume Sari was either a random human-of-the-week or a friend of the Witwickys. The first episode would have Megatron rise from the waters and Starscream returning to Earth with more Decepticons. As usual, Starscream attempts to become leader until Megatron puts him in his place.

The events of the movie happened, we either catch a glimpse of it in the opening intro or a flashback episode. But it would be in broad stroke form: such as the Autobots come to Earth in separate ships, emerging from their landing spots as colorless protoforms before having on their vehicle forms, meeting Sam and Mikaela, captured by Sector Seven who has Megatron and the AllSpark, the final battle taking place in a city, and Optimus sending a message to other surviving Autobots.

The Autobot team on Earth would be Optimus Prime, Rodimus, Ratchet, Prowl, Bulkhead, Arcee, and Bumblebee. Arcee was intended to be in the first movie, but they didn't want to explain why there are female Cybertronians and she'd be too small. Prowl was also intended to appear, but they wanted Barricade to be the police car. Rodimus would be the second-in-command.

The Deception team on Earth would be Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, Lugnut, and Blitzwing. Soundwave is a true Decepticon instead of being created on Earth, although he still crashed Sari's birthday.

The AllSpark shards will still be a story arc, since the end of the first movie has the AllSpark explode. Some of the elements from the original series would still happen, like the Starscream clones, Blackarachnia's vengeance, Waspinator's revenge, Ratchet and Arcee's history with Lockdown, Prowl's journey, and the discovery of the traitor (Shockwave).

Sam and Mikaela would appear in a few episodes. And so would Seymour Simmons.

There would be romance growing between Rodimus and Arcee.
