If the G1 cartoon was remade in the same tone and design as Friendship is Magic and Equestria Girls.

The human world would be Earth, where we meet Megan, Danny, and Molly. They travel to another dimension called Ponyland, the home of their pony friends.

Twilight, Firefly, Applejack, Sparkler, Surprise, and Posey would be the Mane Six. Since they're the inspirations for Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy; in fact, Lauren Faust originally wanted to use them.

Twilight is the student of Queen Majesty, the ruler of Ponyland. Majesty is an Alicorn in this version. She lives in Dream Castle that's on top of a hill near a village called Dream Valley (similar to Ponyville) where the rest of the ponies live.

Spike is Twilight's #1 Assistant.

Applejack started out as a clumsy "silly pony", but after befriending Megan on their first adventure, she becomes a lot like her FiM counterpart. Megan even gives Applejack her cowboy hat as a token of their friendship.

Megan has the Rainbow of Light, which she uses to help enhance the power of the Mane Six.

Like both shows, there'll still be characters singing a song per episode.
