Description Now with a line of comics I thought I'd figure something out for her... Kind of her pre-transformed self in the background, which is either left as lines to generate a sort of see-through no longer there affect, or is caused by my own laziness. I'm not super-thrilled with picture quality here, but what are you going to do?

Katherine was mostly pretty unremarkable, somewhat cuter than average, about 5'5" and an even-split A and B sort of student. She lived a somewhat sheltered urban life, was a little nerdy for all ancient sciences and a bit defensive of her name, to the point she developed the habit of punching anyone who tried to call her Katie, and scowling at anyone trying Kathy or Kate. Her first international flight to participate in an archaeological dig turned out to be a life-changing experience though. With something like a 10-billion to one chance against a disturbance in the walls between dimensions caused the plane to crash. She found herself stranded in a jungle inhabit by Dinosaurs and possibly worse to come.
When the Tananga tribesmen found her they took her back to the village and because she did not resemble any tribes they had met and no one could understand her they decided to set her to the initiation test and see if the local gods would accept her as an inhabitant. Every Tanaga would be sent through the hall of training when they came of age, to be tested in the realm of Body, Mind, or Spirit. Whichever test the gods decided they faced would determine their role in the tribe for the rest of their lives. Those who succeed become leaders and failures are resigned to following. Every now and then one of the amulets of the gods chooses a champion, an individual sure to face much turmoil and challenge. Understandably much shock ran through the tribe as one of the Hunter gods granted the scrawny, pale girl some of his power. Some of the warriors are appalled but most of the tribe chooses to respect the wishes of the potentially smite-happy beings. They know she will have to train to deal with at least one horrible trial or task but have no way of conveying the information to her.
Many are appalled at her overall lack of fighting skill and knowledge of surviving and animal behavior. She has a bad tendency to bungle into some animal's territory on accident and end up in unnecessary combat. She also strikes many as somewhat less than optimally brave as well.

Katherine doesn't quite know her whole abilities, she's gone from a normal girl with a workout routine meant to keep her weight down to a slightly superhuman level. She could a few hundred to world strongman lifting records, has reflexes that would measure as marginally better than the fastest martial artists, isn't quite contortionist flexible, and has a top run speed around 3 to 5 mph over records, varying by distance or type of run. Her endurance and resistance to pain and injury are improved but again not to a monstrously superhuman level. She may be able to improve on this by some method or another.
Katherine is not thrilled with her transformation, preferring her more conventional appearance beforehand. However she quickly learned to accept the greater survivability of her new condition, which lets her fight off wild animals that wouldn't have flinched at anything she could have physically thrown before.

The shading or just the pic in general makes her look older....don't know why.

My guess is that it has to do with defining facial features (probably made worse by some overly hard shading) where most art of women (especially cartoon art) likes to leave out everything but the most important features unless they're older. It doesn't affect this picture as badly as it has some of my prior attempts though so I guess there's at least that.

You may want to enter her in Maidens.

I'm not entirely sure I get what that's about exactly. From what I've seen it also looks like everyone is going with ultra-powerful sorts of characters (admittedly I haven't checked everything).

no val is normal
(and you could just make her wear the hunter gods thing and give her skill and knowedge of him and maybe make her more riped)

So... her power level is kind of Ultimate Captain America? Which is to say - beyond even peak physical human fitness but not in the "let me toss this house out of the way".

Always nice to see a girl who doesn't gush about her transformation... I mean, it's great when they like it but it's nice to have a bit of variety. All in all, great stuff - your art is definitely improving all the time.

I'm such an idiot, thank you, Captain America level is a good way to put it.
Thanks for the comment.

Well... ULTIMATE Captain America is considerably more powerful than the regular (dead) MU version. The 616 version is defined as "peak physical condition" but the Ultimate version has shown a fair few abilities that are outwith the normal human capability. Hence my distinction.
