Description Some fans need to calm down... I drew this a while ago when I'd heard about the DC Reboot and the protests that were going around. For the record, I'm not happy about the reboot either, but I just thought the reaction and some of the things that were being said were a bit over the top, and it resulted in this little satirical (and hopefully humerous) piece. Weird how my mind works sometimes.

I was expecting to have it done before the actual reboot. I'm a bit late in that respect but...

Mmhhh...
Since it's a DC comics thing, hulking out doesn't seem the right response though being so angry you spontaneously mutate is a funny over the top reaction.

THat was sort of the point. It's meant to be ironic that he'd transform into a Marvel character... But I suppose it wasn't that good if I have to explain it.

HA! Tell it like it is Hulky! There's something befitting about the irony of a dude turning into the Hulk at a DC protest, isn't there?

I agree! Heck for all we know we are the soap operas and TV shows that THEY watch in their universe! So why can't Hulk follow Power Girl comics for the story and the boobies?!

DC reboot?

Yep. Starting this month DC's rebooting their entire line of mainstream superhero comics, effectively erasing 70 years of history. Every comic be start #1 issue one again. It's a little more than mildly upsetting (especially since 52 was only like 3 years ago!), but some of the responses I've read about have been WAAAY over-the-top.

I guess that there where so many versions of all of the classic heroesΒ΄s origins and early history that nobody knew what was going on any more.
Or maybe the writers just ran out of ideas and decided to buy some time by doing every thing over again.

It's most likely the the second thing. Even though the whole point of 52 was to start things afresh and also give writers new material to explore (what with the reintroduction of the multiverse). Actually this all just reeks of "marketing ploy" if you ask me...

They pretty much said it was a marketing ploy from the moment they announced it, since they said it's to go along with their new digital distribution whatnot, with them hoping it'll make things easier for new readers to get on board with the comics.

If they'd thought it through more, they'd realize how they're doing it is actually going to make things harder for new readers...
