Description This is the design I did for Riley's raiment! This section of the story is much *much* earlier than the ones I've been doing lately haha
It was originally a doodle on lined paper, and then I was immediately annoyed that I did it on lined paper, so I took a photo of it, and redid the linework via IbisPaintX on my phone and colored it.

For those who are curious:
Sometime in Riley's early hundreds (yep you read that correctly) Riley comes to realize that he is the purest living blood of a royal clan that rules a small but formidable merchant country called Shin Satori. Due to his pureblooded mother fleeing the country from an arranged marriage, Riley's presence was unknown to the rest of the clan, and even himself, until generations later when he gains a reputation for capturing and delivering desert bandits to the castle gates, no questions asked.
In truth, he went there to blow off steam and mentally recuperate from events in his life back home, but the castle folk all came to know him as the mysterious fighter cleaning up and singlehandedly making their local area safer. (See Deviation Lone Fighter by TK-Sorainu on DeviantArt )

After being acknowledged as First Prince due to his blood purity, Riley is offered the throne, to which he immediately declines, having already led his village for decades at that point. Given that a new generation of heirs were already being raised for the position, he left it to them, taking only his title back home and a promise to serve as king in dire circumstances. Once home, royals from the minor branches of the clan contact Riley and tell him he must present himself as Prince even in his home country, and they tailor this raiment to functionally fit Riley's needs while also boasting his status - to which he reluctantly agrees to adorn them. He grows into the role of Ambassador Prince, and begins to have more pride in the clothes he wears to represent the clan he was slowly getting to know. Having already been the Lord of his village and the sole diplomat between the sovereign territory of his village and the mainland country, adding his prince status only gave him higher standing, and after many years of doubt and prejudice from the public for his inhuman abilities, he enjoys a reprieve from antagonism.

Thoughts?
Also I'll be posting sketches of the design shortly if anyone wants to check that out too!
