Might be beneficial to note that not JUST the winners dog and winners bitch compete for Best of Breed, since they also compete against other champions at that level.

In FCI (unlike AKC) Champions compete for winners dog/bitch along with Open, instead of being held separately. (Itβs also part of why only one set of CACIB/R.CACIBs are awarded each breed per show, not per class, since Champions are also eligible to be considered for CACIBs. Puppy and Veterans are not eligible though.)
