Honestly liked the classic one, but I'll have to say that I've never seen the newer movie to be able to make an actual comparison between them.

Some movies aren't meant to be rebooted, no matter what the movie industry might think. Others, with the right creative team, work better than the original vision did. A good example is the various Captain America movies; I wasn't thrilled by the early ones, but the MCU ones are excellent.
