Here's a little something I threw together for my friend, ~Throavium-Redux . He's making a box design for a fictional fighting game for Sega characters (similar to Smash Bros. kind of stuff) and I suggested that he added Ristar. Seeing as Ristar hasn't made it into anything more current than the Sega Genesis, I would have to make it from scratch. I borrowed the hands of a Sonic rendering from Sonic colors. Made the basic colored version of the body in Illustrator, modeled shoes in 3DS Max and comped it all together in Photoshop. It was a little tougher than I expected.I'm not completely satisfied by the outcome, but I'm mostly cool with it.
If anybody wants to use it, please do! I have a favor to ask, though. If you do use it, please tell me and credit me in your work, so there's less confusion, and so that I can see what you came up with!

Hi, interesting concept. But there's a little problem, Ristar in the original game, has 4 fingers. I confuse myself with this too; because some of the art around internet had 5 fingers, but if you look closely to the gamebox art, and the videogame itself, it has 4. hehe. (sorry for my english).

Right you are! Here's the deal, I don't know if you read my description, but I borrowed those hands off a Sonic artwork from Sonic Colors. I didn't realize or think to look if Ristar had four fingers or five fingers! Unfortunately, I don't have any desire to revisit this piece, but thanks for pointing it out to me, I didn't realize I'd made a mistake.
