This is for the contest at

First I Rotated the image as I felt the lines of the leaf gave me a vertical feel.
Then I put a selection oval around the lady bug and created a mask of that area. I then changed the color of the green just a tad. I merged that layer. Then I reselected the ladybug and inverted the selection and created another layer mask and bumped the reds on the bug. I added the border by expanding the canvas.
