It's dawned on me that I haven't commented on these in a while. I *have* been keeping up, but it's been kinda hard to effectively comment on these on a page-by-page basis when there isn't much I think I can mention art- or layout-wise, not a whole lot of story progression happens on a single page (usually), and I don't want to just say "looks cool" or something like that.
...I may be taking commenting a bit too seriously. XD; I blame art school.
Anyway, I bring this up because I do want to start a writeup on the entire series (an analysis, if I were to be nerdy about it) once we get close to the end of the story.

I like this magic battle, it's something you just don't see, usually it's melee, I have never seen Magic done like this. 
Maybe I will do some Heartcore comics with Ame instead of my other idea it looks like it would be fun to draw.

lol I dunno about that, it becomes a lot of speedlines and clever angles or it's just two people boinking each other. I remember Toriyama said he drew all the effects that were supposed to be spiritual forces, because how exciting would something invisible be?
It takes a while too; I have two pages when this story is done I am going to post with Kayne and Madeline fighting, I cut it out because it would just be pages and pages of it, all to come to the same conclusion. I mean, you and me both liked Dragonball better then Dragonball Z for a reason. Magic is really fun to draw and it doesn't take pages and pages to say someone got knocked out.
I wanted to do it, (a Heartcore/Madeline crossover) but I don't want it to become too Slayers-y, or the irony. By the way, I wanted you to know I highly considered what you said about making Madeline closer to Megaman Legends, since Capcom abandoned it completely, I think it might just work.

Ame's face when she's getting hit reminds me of disgaea in so many good ways, freakin' hilarious to see, though to make her eyes water like that 9not to mention the spinning) it musta been a good hit for such a little guy.
