About time I did my version of Kaa for the original Jungle Book series. I technically already drew this version a while back, but this time you're seeing her without hypnotising Mowgli.

In the Disney version, Kaa was an antagonist who tried to eat Mowgli, but in the original book, Kaa was a mentor to the man-cub. What is this version?

Kaa herself is one of the most feared creatures on Exper Island, all who encounter her have met their doom, due to her beautiful luring eyes and voice, and her sheer strength and length, none have managed to escape. All except for one, a human named Mowgli. The boy was naive and was not quick witted enough to escape her, but Kaa gave into her inner kindness for two reasons, not only was Mowgli the only human to ever exist on the island, but he also had a special potential inside of him that Kaa could sense, so she spared the boy and made him promise something to her.

It was to never speak of their relation, the fact they know each other must be kept a secret. Breaking this promise would result in Kaa making the man-cub a midnight snack.

Mowgli agreed to keep the promise, not only did he not have a choice in the matter, but he could sense a kind of loneliness in her.
