hm hm maybe, maybe not.... it's so mysterious and strange, since I uploaded the picture a strange black Van is parked in front of my house XD. I think it is a secret part of a rocket control unit.... or maybe an upside-down radio hahaha

As for a first impression, this reminds me of a vintage power resistor decade box. But the table in the lid holds information of B/W picture tubes, like model-#, heater currents- and voltages, as well as grid voltages. Maybe the gauges show cutt-off and emission? So, is it weird type of CRT- tester??

Five electro - mechanical rotors, each with twelve positions.
It's definitely a crypto device.

lets see. wiring. descriptive chart of voltages and ohm ratings leads me to believe this is a energy cell. seriously man this looks freaking real! however the one off put detail....i don't want to say really but i must is that the wood material is a wee bit to shiny for the type of antiquity you are trying to display. There are missing details like aging in the wood. Plus the bumpmap needs to be reduced in its power. Its to visible in the light. Needs to be more subtle.
Despite all that. The details of the metal shaders and overall quality of the work are splendid!!

It's a beautiful piece of work, and it looks similar to some of the machines developed for cracking the "ENIGMA" codes.

I didn't know Edison built a bomb. Ha ha.
Really great modeling and textures. You can't make it look real without this kind of attention to detail. Very well done.

It seems to be a lightning gun's energy cell recharging device.
...or an EMP meant to take out a city the size of Manhattan.
Whatever it is, it looks cool. Well done.

O. M. G. You've managed to make a hydrogen fusion chamber. that results in making small puppies, plastic toys, and jewelry. YOU HAVE MADE US RICH! take THAT China! XD
Love how realistic this looks! I seriously thought it was a photo.

Mr. Blow-Me-Up?
looks like something that fell out of the fallout universe, then mated with the most insane device some mad steampunk inspired scientists conjured up over a cup of afternoon tea and radioactive biscuits.
