Incidentally, here is an informative article that addresses the politics of global warming denial.

New lightbulbs that use less energy, yes definitely. The clock is ticking, and we are running out of time to deal in a serious and meaningful way with climate change.

Sarcasm and insults, but no real facts, typical of rightwing conservatives like yourself, and you are criticizing others for a lack of "reasoning ability"? Nice try. Thanks for the laugh

No real facts?! I though that most Environmentalists 'believe' that releasing CO2 into the atmosphere is wrong. Hence here they are, having turned off their lights to reason and are 'burning' candles in the dark trying to find the light switch again .... all the while thinking that they are 'doing something' toward saving 'something', LOL.

I have no problem with people turning off their lights if they want, but if they think that doing so actually will have some effect on the environment, polar bears, or the planet, then they really are in the dark to facts and reason.

Using less electricity is perhaps a necessary but not sufficient step. Lighting a candle in the way of this photo is as much a symbolic act as anything else, but is still a necessary step.

The things you consider 'necessary' are truly illuminating. Using less electricity is only necessary for lowering your electric bill, it doe not save the environment, polar bears, or penguins that only mate of one season and not for life. The lighting of a candle and coming to together as some kind of group does nothing except make the people in the group feel like they are accomplishing something, when in truth is does nothing except release CO2 into the atmosphere, the very thing these people are railing against, LOL. Most Statist are all about symbolism, and low on actual achievement. It's one thing to want to 'save the world' and another to actually do something directly related to saving something .....
