2016-2017 Class PhotoHey Guys!I'm not gonna have sign ups this year because it didn't seem to be working out as best I'd hoped in past years. Instead you're going to be given 7 weeks to get in your OC for the photo; you get to decide the pose and I'll just work it out after. You can choose between ground sitting pose, chair sitting pose, or standing pose. You can also choose to have your OC dressed in a sport uniform that they participate in (cheer leader outfit counts) or their school uniform, but no civilian clothes (outfits and uniforms can be found in the 'Rules and References' folder).
We are also looking for volunteers to draw members of the faculty. If you wish to do so, please comment with who you want to draw and we will put you down for that member. All help is appreciated.
Submissions MUST be put into the '2016-2017 Class Photo' folder

That makes sense. My liking of the movie is probably due to my situation being the opposite of what that youtube video depicts. My sister and I grew up on the 2003 turtles and it's the show that got us into the fandom. When we watched the Turtles Forever movie, I had only seen a small handful of the 80s episodes, and my sister hadn't seen any. She tends to keep her fandom interests casual, where I'll go hunting for as much as I can (which is why I have all 3 of the 90s movies). So, since seeing the Turtles Forever movie, I've purchased the entire 80s cartoon series (I'm currently only in season 3). It's also been quite a while since I've seen Turtles Forever, but thinking back they really did make a mess of the 80s show aspects they had in the film. Even when watching it the first time, I noticed that the 80s turtles seemed goofier than what I'd seen in the few episodes I'd known at that point. And when they went for pizza in broad daylight, I was very confused because I knew they didn't do that in the show. To me it looks like they were trying to depict the 2003 as the default turtles, make the 80s turtles look like 4 Mikey's and make the classic turtles look like 4 Raph's, which wasn't the smart route to take, since it insulted a whole generation of fans. The movie still appeals to me because of my bond with the 2003 turtles, but I do see the problems it has.
On a similar note, did you see the Trans-dimensional Turtles episode of the 2012 TMNT show? I believe that has a better representation of the 80s cartoon and includes all the original voice actors, meaning Rob Paulsen voices both 2012 Don and 1980 Raph, and has conversations with himself.

It felt like it was trying to make the originals out like incompetent simpletons who did not know how to get serious when needed while trying to make the 2003 turtles out like they were some messiah! When it comes to the 2003 series, it ended for me with the Ninja Tribunal as that felt like a definite ending. I did not like how cartoonish Fast-Forward and Back-to-the-Sewers got with things like its stories and humor, especially with things like taking away Leo's scar for no reason! What did you think of it?
IMO, if they wanted to do a crossover it should have been with the 2003 after the Ninja Tribunal arc. How does that sound?
TBH, I never cared for the 2012 series; it just felt like backtracking to how the original 1980s series was.

My sister and I enjoyed the Fast Forward season, but Back to the Sewer got really silly, I agree. I had fun with the finale season, but it's definately not my fave season. And the sudden style change threw me off. Especially Leo's scar going missing. I was like, "what? where it go? That's not how scars work".
I don't know, I feel like it mattered much when the crossover happened. They don't really mention much from the show in terms of continuity. The only difference would be April and Casey would have their old style back ... so yeah, maybe that would have been better.
I recommend at least seeing the crossover episode. I understand there were a lot of fans not interested in the 2012 show, and I can understand why, but the crossover ep is so good.
