As far as I can remember, this is a true story. Of course I was 7, or somewhere around that age.
My mother was just trying to tell me not to touch because of disease. She is a nurse after all.

Actually, I'm not even sure if it was really sick. It could very well have been preparing to lay eggs. That's just what my mom assumed because at that time everyone was stressing about the West Nile Virus.
