How would we go about making a predacon one? I really don't know how to make a transformer that looks like it could actually transform into their other form properly. I've never really drawn any transformer OCs before. I'm looking at the ones in Prime and using them as inspiration but any advice is welcomed.

Hm, I'm not sure how well I can explain, especially since I've never drawn predacons before. With regular bots I decide what I want their alt mode to be before I start adding details. So, with a predacon, get a reference of what you what the alt mode to be. Make the arms and legs of the bot look similar to the arms and legs of the alt mode you chose. The head of the alt mode could become the shoulders. Tails usually don't get shown in bot mode, unless you can think of an interesting way to incorporate it. Predacons also tend to have sharp teeth in both modes, or they match the teeth of their alt mode. Really you just got to get creative, and if it looks right to you, there's no wrong way to do it. Use plenty of references and inspiration. I hope that helped.
