Agreed. Donnie's design is my least favourite of the new turtles. The goggles suit him, but the glasses are unnecessary.

I know why Bay added the tape, and I hate his reasons for it, but I've come up with a headcanon that somewhat justifies it. Being a mutant turtle, he couldn't just go to the optometrist and get a pair. He had to find them, most likely in the dump or garbage or something. They would have most likely been broken, so he would have to put tape on them. And even if they were in tact, he may have had to purposely break them and refit them for his head, being as the glasses were made for humans and not mutant turtles.
Bay still shouldn't have added them, though.

That or Donnie can just find his prescription on his own find broken glasses then tune them up probably has the tape because he trains a lot

I have my likes and dislikes about the new designs, but I'm starting to get used to them as a whole. Especially since we've been seeing more flattering shots of the turtles lately.
