Growing weary of Tabitha Tawny's constant self-sacrificing for his sake, Curt has taken it into his hands to do some rudimentary therapy to aid Ms. Tawny in shedding these habits. So now, when he can (and whenever Tawny gives him food), he tries (and usually fails) to convince the two of them to have lunch together (especially by getting something for Tabitha to eat as well) so that Tabitha doesn't keep going hungry or broke for Curt. But when he does succeed in convincing her, he keeps an eye on her to make sure she eats; taking care of herself even as she tries to take care of him.

Of course, Curt is no therapist (and neither am I), so I can't fully vouch for the methods he applies to aid Ms. Tawny in her path to psychological recovery. But he is doing his best with what he knows.
