I'm completely brand new to make-up design, but I have to say, I've never seen anything as stylized as your work. It's very visually striking and leaves a strong impression on you. The red and black compliment each other well, and the design seems to flow rather smoothly along the face evenly . Every part of the art seems to have been thought out carefully before being added, and it really shows! Again, I'm still new to this kind of art, but I strongly believe you did an impressive job! Please keep doing more and continue showing and progressing your art!

This is a very interesting work! The fine details are what makes it so unique. The hair is my personal favorite, but the way it all plays off each other no nicely is a lovely accomplishment.

The makeup design is unlike that which I have seen before. The splotching, rather than rounded shapes stands out against the sharp lines. Also the color scheme fits just right. There is a certain theme to the piece, and the paleness of the skin brings makes it pop!

The actual photo is well lit and centered in a position so it captures the details in the right angles, and overall brings it all together.

I really love how the reds and blacks compliment each other (I know that's what everyone else is saying, but I mean it!) The precision with your lines is astounding. (I'm not even close to being that precise with my own makeup.) The only problem i'm having is the amount of eyeliner you're using on the corner of your eyes... If you added a little red in there, it would brighten things up. And don't forget to line your water-lines as well!
I also really like how you brought the red into your hair. It really adds to the "dramatic" effect.

Also, you have a cute nose!

you did a great job! it is very eye catching and stands out very well.great color match the art is very amazing! you have skill and i admire that even if i am not into that sort of thing. and you would be a great anime character . i definitely love your use of color and patterns. the eyes do really pop out at me in a good way. i love the pattern under the red eye. how did you do the eyes.

You wanted my opinion right? My idea on this is that it’s great, but there could have been some things that could have made it better. I love the colors red and black, but add more color such as little yellow and orange to make the designs pop out. The eye liner I believe you could have done less of. The eye liner distracts me from the red eye. Since you have a lot of piercings I believe a different color would have worked to make it stand out more. The clothes I like them those can stay. The one huge design could have been re-arranged a little neater. There is too much in one area. Don’t get me wrong I love the design it is creative, but I wish there were thinner lines and not all thick in one area. I like the eyebrow design because on that side of the face you have a black eye so I am more focused on the design. but the right the design doesn't compliment the gorgeous red eye. Like I said earlier the colors must compliment, too much of one makes it look sloppy. ex. if you saw someone in all yellow, or red you would think of a banana or apple? Same thing applies. If you had different shades of red and grey some yellow in the corner of the eye and lighter orange balancing out the corners of the red it would look amazing. I do like the basic shapes and the different sizes. I have looked at you other work and they are unique and that's what we need on deviantart. I say re-sketch the design so it shapes your face better and less thicker lines and more small detail. Makes some symbols in your work, this will keep the views looking and interested. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/> Over all I do like it a lot, but is see better potential in you.

I love love love the use of the reds and blacks in complements to each other in the hair and the face and also I love the sharigun eye. It adds so much to the concept of what people see. I would probably tone down the black eyeliner on your right around the eye itself so it isn't as dark. But other than that this looks amazing

This is excellent work, compounded by the fact that you put the makeup on yourself. I love the balance between red and black, right and left, top and bottom. I was also intrigued by the little images some of the patterns take on, things you probably didn't even intend, but it's like looking up at clouds and making out shapes in them. The purple on your jacket appeals to my sense of chaos. The only change I would suggest is your hair color. I think a more red and less orange might work a bit better, and possibly adding some more black would help as well. Overall, though, You did a beautiful job.

The make up job is outstanding. I love how you used the black and red color together. The lining could use a little touch up, meaning that some of the design is a tad smeared or blurred. Overall I love the work and love how when I first looked at the picture the makeup stood out and caught my attention. The outfit is amazing, it matches the design of your make up. Love the contacts. The overall look catches the viewer and makes them fall into a deep thought and takes their breath away. I look forward to more of your work.

overall i like this very much. the contrast between your complexion and the makeup really go well with one another. the makeup draws the attention to your eyes which i feel would look good with either both eyes red or both eyes black (still looks great though). i also think that the makeup is a little uneven, unless that's whet you're going for. the hair compliments both your makeup and complexion. i like how everything comes together here, but i would like to see cleaner lines, if possible, in the future on your makeup. really great work!! hope to see more in the near future.

I love how dynamic your face paint is! I know how hard it can be to paint one's own face, so I commend you for taking on such a complex design! Red and black always look fantastic together. I think the contacts make a great contribute, but I think you could've lessened the thickness of the liner around your eyes. You might even consider lining the eye with the black contact with red liner, and the eye with the red contact in black liner just for more asymmetry! Also think about adding black hair coloring to the red! Keep up the great work!

I like the concept of this photo. Your hair is awesome I love it, but I think your makeup is a bit busy for my taste. It's really neat and intriguing, but I wish you had sharper lines and a little less.
Your outfit, hair, contacts, piercings and makeup is a lot to take in. If I were to take a photo of this genre, I would try to make a main focal point like Manndacity had pointed out. And it seems to me like your main focus in here is your makeup. So I think with all the added colour to your outfit and hair, makes it a little too busy for me. Maybe try doing the same outfit, your white hair and colourful makeup on one side of your face.

Besides that, very cool idea.

The hair is Great. The style and color go well with the complexion. I like the makeup. but it could have bolder strokes. Ditch the eyes. They don't fit the dude. They are too uneven. I'm not sure about the two colored eyes. The studs are OK. Did he already have them? Somehow this guy just doesn't look the part for the radical makeup job. That's not your fault though. You went with what you had to work with. If you were going for an 80's punk rock look or something else I can't quite tell. I'm of an older generation but lived through the 60's 70's and 80's and think Bowie had it right. Sometimes less is more in face makeup. Try for one defining focal point to catch the eye and bring your attention to that factor. Keep working at it but don't try to put everything into one human canvas.

I love the way you did the hair, It was well styled and the hair color really highlights the deep red eyes and the make-up.
The detailes in the make-up shows that much work was put into each and every detail.
The coloration between the red, the black and the natural skin color.
Also the outlining of the eyes was a great way to highlight even more of the eyes.
The only thing i could be picky on is that the make-up takes a bit too much place and therefore it takes a bit over.
Other then thath there is nothing you can say otherwise. This is a great picture that was well made. 0w 0

The first thing that hit me in this picture was the vibrant scarlet color and how you incorporated it into your hair, that was a nice touch and you did well with it. The second thing I noticed was the contacts, and I like the red one the most. I kind of saw a bit of Naruto style in this, especially with the Naruto contact. It's still very original even though I could see that, so It's good that you went your own way with it. I like the contrast of the purple with red, that was a nice touch. You did pretty well with the makeup and it looks pretty clean, but I think black eyeliner on the waterline and tight-line would be a nice touch.

OK, I've never critiqued before, so sorry if its rubbish:

I really like the red and black detail round the eyes, its very well done and I also love the different coloured eyes. overall I think the white and red hair matches very well with everything else and your piercings make it look a lot better. however, i would use less black stuff round the eyes (is it eyeliner? I dont know, dont wear makeup) a bit would be nice but i think too much makes you look scary. (if thats what youre going for, though, you did it pretty well). also, it kind of draws away from the rest of the stuff, like the awesome red and black detail. but seriously, i like it, especially the hair.

Haha I'm not too great on these either but I will study it and tell you what I think~

First off, the Hair: I've always liked that your hair is white with shades of gray and red instead of black. If it was black It would of been way too much of it. Having the lighter hair makes it stands out and gives really nice contrast to the rest of the outfit and make up.

The Face: I really like the design under the colored eye and the fact that the colored eye is the one with more Jazz going on. (lol). Its almost like the eye is an infection and the infection is spreading. I really like how you connect the upper cheek design with the lines that travel onto your lower cheek to the corner of your lips.
I do agree with someone else where they mentioned you should of colored in your eyebrow above the red eye. It does look a little too plain for how the rest of the face is jazzed up. Don't add any designs, but add a simple black over it. Maybe a splash of red somewhere if you wanted.
Onto the black eye, the design on the eyebrow looks a little... sloppy in my perspective, but still well done if that makes since. Maybe its just the turn of your head but its hard to see what all is going on right there. Maybe when doing your make up consider how it looks from all angles it will be seen at.
I like how you balance the overall design with one side being mainly decorated in the center and the other side you keep the center cheek clean. It gives it really nice contrast and doesn't make your face look too cluttered. The pops of silver (your piercings and those teeth) give a nice contrast to the silver in your hair. It also adds a cool, uh... industrial feel?

The outfit: I like how there is a good bit of white in the outfit because it doesn't just make your body blend in with the black background. I love the touch of purple (and not just because its one of my favorite colors lol). But because it gives more color to it than just red. I felt it would of looked more empty without that second color and you hit it because red and purple always go together. Like blood and royalty. *bad joke*
I like the designs that are over the white on the shirt and hoodie because it doesn't make it just plain white. I don't know if those designs are a part of the shirt or if they are layers you added but it looks good like that. I also like how you kept with the metal by having a chain going across the torso. It really kept with the theme of the whole design.

God I feel like that was too much but hopefully my opinion is helpful. Anytime you need an opinion just let me know, I'm always here!
Your work is so great and I can't wait to get around to making a character from your make up designs. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

That's understandable. I'm not experienced in make up at all (hell I just throw on a layer of eye liner and go in the mornings). But maybe the reason it does look so good is because you don't have the eye brow colored. I would never know what is best until I see it both ways, you know?Β

Regardless I just love your make up styles no matter what. :3

The makeup is done on a very professional level, this is the kind of talent people would offer to hire for. Even if you may or may not have professional tools it has the right amount of detail to be considered perfect. It's very even, pretty clean I don't see many smudges and it's not overdone. It's a very unique and one original design to me. Very realistic looking, looks like you took your time to get close to a very precise accuracy with the style you were going for.

If you don't already I'd consider getting a job as a makeup artist. People would pay for this kind of thing.

Firstly I have to whole heartedly say well done for applying that yourself and what a wow factor it really has. The orangy red in the hair and how it matches the colour of the pattern is amazing. The contacts are a great touch and I absolutely adore the clothes.

However I feel it is a bit of an over kill with it. That there is too much going on. And your teeth are just plain frightening. Your piercings (although amazing!) make this pattern much more in your face and well....scary.

That being said the pattern itself is brilliant, the colours work perfectly and you can see you have really thought it through. Your hair I love to the point I want it, that is true anime hair so bravo!

First of all: Excellent Color scheme. I really love the black and re combination, and all those Little Details just immediately draw Attention to them! The contact lenses are a great idea, even though it does look a bit distracting with the sharingan (?) pattern. What bothers me a bit about the eye makeup is that it Looks a Little bit unaligned and leaves the Impression of ifferently sized eyes, but maybe, that's only me. It leaves a really crazy Impression , and I like that!
The bottom piercings are a Little bit distracting though, but that's only my Point of view. Amd as I'm really nitpicky, I'll now Point out that the smaller Details look a bit...squiggly? Is that the right wordß
Anyways, I really like the design. But it would've been (maybe?) better if the clothes were less detailed as they draw some Attention away from the face.

First, sorry it took me so long to look at this. Second, I have to say that I love you our work here. I love how the red connects with the red in our hair. i think it holds the picture together and creates an interesting visual. I don't know if this was what you were going for, but the red, white, and black combo you've got going on your face vividly makes me think of the holiday Dia de Muertos. I don't know why, but this is the image that is now going to pop into my mind whenever anyone mentions Dia de Muertos. I think it's because overall you look very undeadish but also more sad than threatening. There is definitely an element of threat here, but I feel like it's an unwilling sort of threatening...if that makes sense.

I think this sense of unwillingness comes from the eyes. The red eye is very threatening and that seems to be your 'let's attack the humans' side, but the black eye seems to be your calm side that seems to be trying to taking control of the red eye. I also have to say that the decorations on your red eye makes me think of an eagle...

Now, I know that everyone compliments your eyes, but my favorite feature of the picture is your lips. I love the way your lip piercings are arranged, and I love the red and black around your lips. And your silver teeth are a fantastic touch.

Overall great job and I am really impressed.

I love the use of the red, it help to make the red in the hair pop more. The contacts to me are what really takes this photo to the next level. The eye with the design on the bottom, the black on the top of the eye is a little lighter then the rest of the back. Other then that I don't find much about this photo that needed to be critiqued. I love the molds face it really highlights the art work on the cheek bones. Personal suggestion because it looks like your blackened one brow and not the other try doing both next time, you might get more of the contrast with the pale skin and red.

To be honest, I am probably not the person to ask. I have little knowledge of whats considered good in this particular style of art. But as you asked for my opinion, from a technical standpoint you need to work a little on the blending and color. From an artistic standpoint I would definitely say it makes an impression, and absolutely invokes an emotional response. These being the main goal of art, Your definitely on the right track.

The design on the left eye is remarkably good, though perhaps a bit flat. It needs to be shadowed a bit more perhaps. The right eye on the other hand is while properly colored, not precisely on the mark. I would suggest going with a full black eye minus the retina, or possibly with a white or blue retina to contrast with the left eye better. The highlights on the hair are not bad, wrong color overall possibly, but not bad. The primary coloration of the hair is dramatic, platinum is a great choice here. The choice of costume is well thought out, and overall fits the theme of this piece.

You have a fabulous way with colours and blend them in so well together, you don't notice the transition. Your artwork is always thought provoking and although it is mostly dramatic, they also offer, to me, a fun element as you play around with and stretch the boundaries of imagination & I find there's always more in your photo's than meets the eye!
