"Recently a friend of mine that runs an Equine Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre had to move from her present location due to an aggressive landlord. Amongst all the horses, goats , donkey and chickens are 16+ cats and kittens, most of them drop offs or abandoned. As we moved the 20 horses and other critters, we frantically searched and boxed all the cats, moms and kittens trying to make sure no one was left behind. Underneath a manger in the far secluded dark corner of the barn, I spotted these sweet set of eyes peeking up out of the straw. As I approach the timid kitten expecting her to run and hide, she took a single step towards me and let out the smallest cry as if to say, 'dont leave me behind'.
