Yes this is my old ComputerCreated in 2007 while it still has some capability to play games like Crysis, Bioshock, Fallout 3, Dirt 2, Wolfenstein (2009), Call Of Duty Modern Warfare and a lot of other games with good performance and pretty good graphics. Its not sufficient anymore, at least not in today's standards.
Sorry for bad camera quality, if the quality was better then you would be able to see some programs and games like Crysis Demo, Quake 3, FRAPS, Audacity, TuneUp Utilities and more...
BTW i use 800x600 resolution with 16 bit colors, blame it on the monitor.
Its System Specifications are:
CPU: AMD Sempron LE-1150 2.4GHz
RAM: 2GB
3d Accelerator: Palit Geforce 8400GS 512mb DDR3
Hard Drive: Samsung 150GB
PSU: 420w
Motherboard: GA-M61SME-S2L
I will try to upgrade the computer to a Radeon HD 6670 and a AMD Athlon II X4 640 3GHz, However im not sure if my motherboard and PSU will support that.

This pc uses Windows 2000, XP dual boot.

I saw the old laptop's spec's and when it comes to gaming performance that old laptop is almost as good as this old desktop i have
But your new laptop is a superior improvement!

Yeah the old one was okay, but it was an 3 years old one and the problem was that he overheated 
If the current had not been so cheap and good, I would have bought the gamer laptop xD ( Medion Erazer [link] ~849 € => 1.098 $

Well my pc (Old Standard office spec GPU and CPU from 2007 mostly) overheat when they reach 50°C
Due to overclock. (If its on stock it will lag like crazy even on games like Crysis)
That laptop should run everything and e mean EVERYTHING you throw at it! So you don't need to tweak or overclock it for better performance.
I don't know why everyone wants a hi-end pc/laptop though. A medium spec pc/laptop is quite enough
However there are millions of people with 5x worse computers than mine and want to play good games, that's why im uploading a video of top 300 games for 128MB Graphics Card.
Anyway you can always save money, be patient and buy the better laptop later.

no this one is fine for 4-5 years xD
My old had much troubles ^^ Overheartet, sometimes the pictures went weird ([link] -screen from my old one),programs work SLOWLY and i don't know why : | , also he doesn't liked my graphic tablet -__-
and when i can't draw i get verrrryy angry hehe ^^

Which is fine the new laptop? BTW what are you going to do on the new laptop Gaming? Video Editing? Email? if you are into gaming then the spending a grand is worth it, but for basic stuff a basic computer is enough.
And i saw the link you send me, same situation as my pc when its too overclocked. Well you can always draw on paper
I personally don't care if a computer is from 1998 i just want it to run properly and not overheat.

Old games are easy do Download for example but way to many viruses. I saw Alice madness returns, the type of blood games i like and damn i never though they would make a Alice hellish edition

Uhm the alice madness returns was released on the 16th June 2011 in europe, the first version American McGee Alice in 2000 ^^
And madness returns is a awesome game!

and Minecraft doesn't have a end i can't argue with that
There is one boss though but still.
If you are into story/adventure games then try GTA and Mafia Series or Soul Reaver Series
