The tiny machines come from another place and time, the sages say. We gather from machine-clouds, tame them, use them for our purposes. Sometimes they will bring us a strange new tool from the other place. Other times they will explode and consume everything that abused them. You have to treat them with respect, for they collectively live and feel like any walking being. They say that the other place is one of plenty, where the machines spawn rare delicacies and fantastic creatures, heal all disease and injury.
