Of all the Toa Rode, Gahla and Kahfen share the closest bond. Both were Matoran in Metru Nui during Teridax's reign, and were called by Imoz to fight the darkness that had overtaken the City of Legends and was spreading throughout the universe. What's more is that Imoz was unaware of Kahfen's true nature, as she was disguised as a Ga-Matoran. Unsure of how to use their powers - and being of unique elements - they stuck together to survive against a universe that wanted them dead.
