Consider it an alternate universe where the animatronics were just stuffed and gained the memories of the children and live on as "monsters". But a young fox named Tails was able to communicate with him. Because A. He's a child like them. And B. He's a fox. So Foxy will relate to him. The animatronics said a purple guys killed their human bodies and believe the night guard, Mike, was also supporting his plan. Tails feels awfully sorry for all of them.

They also said the fifth one, Golden Freddy was in the pizzaria, talking to himself. Wanting revenge on the 2 nightguards and just them only. Tails would relate with Golden Freddy, that if he was killed and stuffed, he would have revenge. So he convinces the animatronics to fight back and help out the childrean and adults. Especially the toddlers... Foxy was in a deep depression hearing "toddler" because of the "bite"... Tails said that they might have probably kept a glitch in him. So Tails promises to make the animatronics fresh and better to make them more child-friendly. Like giving Bonnie his face.

So in this universe, the animatronics are the good guys and the phone guy and player are actually the bad guys.
