Description
It was early in the morning, 6:00 AM to be exact, and almost all the residents in Ponyville were still asleep, all but three. One was the red stallion SunnyStorm observing the massive dark cloud starting to form over the town, another was the other red stallion Big Macintosh taking his daily early Sunday walk around the apple orchard of Sweet Apple Acres, his family's apple farm, and the last pony was the ever so shy, light yellow pegasus mare Fluttershy. Something collapsed inside her cottage on the outskirts of town over night and she was inspecting the damage, it was not too bad a group of bird houses got too heavy for a branch inside the cottage to support so it can tumbling down leaving a hole in the side of the house.
Fluttershy knew she had to get the hole patched up so she set out to find Big Mac for some help. Meanwhile Sunny was checking on his weather equipment on the top of his house by the west side of town, after he double checked his calculations again he muttered to himself, "Hoo boy." The results said that there was going to be a storm later on that day, when he did not know, and it was going to be big. So SS went back downstairs and started to write up his weather report for the day.
"Well howdy there Fluttershy." Big Mac said as he saw the yellow pegasus mare land right next to him among the rows of apple trees.
"Good morning Big Macintosh," Fluttershy replied in her usual soft, kind and almost inaudible voice. "um... recently a bunch of bird houses has caused a branch inside my house to fall, so I was wondering if you can um.... come over and help me fix it.....if you are not busy today..."
"Don't worry, I have Sundays off, so I will be able to come over to help." the red stallion replied looking at Fluttershy with his gentle green eyes.
"Thank you Big Macintosh, but are you sure you are willing to do this." the pegasus replied who could not help but blush under Big Mac's gentle gaze, she did not know why she did though.
"Aw, it's no problem Fluttershy, it's the least I can do to help out one of AppleJack's friends. And please, call me Big Mac."
"Ok than... Big Mac, I um.... guess I shall see you later." the yellow mare said as she lifted off and started to weave between the apple trees back to her cottage.
"See ya later Fluttershy." Big Mac called back as he went back to walking around the orchard, he always felt something in his heart when she was around but he brushed it off like he usually did. And that was just the beginning.
