This Mountain (ha)s a Blast

At the crack of dawn, actually little while after that because Sonic is a VERY heavy sleeper, the group got ready to head for the cave..."Uh, guys." Spike said scanning the entrance.
"What is it Spike?" Apple Bloom asked looking at the purple dragon.
"I don't think I can fit in there..." he replied.
"What do you mean?" Constellation asked. "This cave entrance is about twice your size."
Spike lifted his claw, "Let me finish, AB, can you pass me my goggles?"
"Sure thang Spike." Apple Bloom said digging into her saddle bag, completely ignoring the eight confused ponies. After finding the goggles, which are your everyday goggles only with a small orange beak attached to the bridge, in question Bloom tossed it up to the dragon, who put the eye wear over his top fin, there was a blinding light and where the semi-big, not-scary, not-fully grown-up purple dragon used to be was a purple pegasus with a green mane, with the goggles resting on the colt's forehead.
"Twilight changed me into a pony a quite few years back." the purple pegasus said, walking and flapping his wings in front of the stunned children. "I did not want to turn back so Twi enchanted these goggles so that when ever I put it on I'll turn back into a pony." The eight were speechless, Sweetie Bell laughed.
"Kind of like our reaction, right Bloom?" the white unicorn lightly punched the yellow earth pony.
"W-what's that s-supposed tah mean." Bloom said quickly rushing to the cave to hide the redness forming on her muzzle. "Besides, we have tah keep movin'." Scootaloo and Sweetie Bell laughed and left the others with confused looks, they exchanged them, shrugged and moved on.

During the walk through the maze of tunnels, the size of the caves changed so dramatically that the ponies have to go single file, Spike explained how he knew the caves would be so small, having not been in here before. "...Dragons can see through the dark a lot better than ponies, so I examined the interior of the cave and it seemed to shrink rapidly."
"That's awesome." Sonic said from behind Spike, the ponies were a lined so that the four oldest ponies were in front, and the eight were lined oldest to youngest starting from the left. The unicorns provided light for the twelve."Think of it, dragons an almost see in the dark."
Spike chuckled. "Yeah." and the rest of the journey was in silence. As the team continued down the tunnels Pinny would feel her right ear flop when they had to turn right, her tail jiggle when they go to the left, and her left eye twitch when they go forward.

The group stopped for a break in a big clearing in the middle of the mountain. Mocha made some lunch and everypony was telling stories and laughing....
"BOOM!!" the cave shook violently and rocks started to fall, the ponies scrambled around trying to avoid the stones. And at the end of the chaos the eight foals found themselves on the far end of the chamber with a big wall of boulders blocking them from Apple Bloom, Sweetie Bell, Scootaloo, and Spike. "What in the hay happened?" Apple Crisp asked coughing.
"Seems that the cave caved-in." Crystal said bushing off the dust off her coat.
"But that's not right," Nano said bringing his hoof to his chin, "the cave was sound when we came in here..."
"Now what are we going to do?" Mocha asked. "With out Scootaloo we don't have a map, and with out a map we'll be stuck in here forever!"
