I wouldn't trust it. I've checked two other sites (serebii.net and Bulbapedia) and the names remain the same as they were. I think these are just fan names. But hey, I could be wrong.

Well, on Bulbapedia, the pages keep their Japanese names, but the "Name Origin" part seems to describe the origins of the English names. Perhaps the pages' names haven't been updated yet? Bah, whatever. If those aren't the actual English names, then that's what I'll call them until the actual English names are revealed.

Also, don't underestimate Vanillish. Its evolution (forgot the name) has some of the highest base stats of any non-legendary Ice type.

And yeah, Vanillish's design is a bit uncreative. But I wish people would see that even the early Pokemon were pretty uncreative as well. If Generation 5 and 1 had been switched, the reactions would probably be like: "What? It's a Pokeball with a face! How much more uncreative can you get?!?" "That one's a freakin' pink blob! They must be out of ideas.", etc.
