They took them away because they are Pokemon that are NEVER in Unova. And because Meowth is smart and can be sly he justs goes into costume and no one will ask questions!

Except Meowth's not smart enough to keep a cover. Remember "The Battle Club and Tepig's Choice"? Meowth was disguised as an Umbreon, then completely blew his cover by saying that he was a talking Meowth.

In the most recent episode, they disguised Meowth as a Umbreon (rare in Unova). Then he revealed that he was just a "regular" talking Meowth (rare anywhere). XD

Wait... What was Giovanni's reasoning for forcing Jessie and James to leave behind the normal PokΓ©mon, but let them take Meowth with them? If a talking Meowth is going to blow their cover anyway, then why leave behind the other PokΓ©mon anyway? I think Giovanni needs a better reason...
