HERP A DURRR!I need to draw My OCs more, so here's a start. I still have to get a ref up for Ascel as well...
There was sort of a backgroudn in mind for this pic, but I didnt think about it enough when I starteddrawing it, so in my attempt to slap on somthign last-secon i opted out for, yet again, a gadient. I swear to god I dont even know how to draw backgrounds. I just think aobut what I want the characters to do <.< ART IS HARD, YOU GUYS...
I was gonna post the pose references I sued for this up here... But i totally can't find them anymore. I used a pic of Hakuman from BlazBlue for Xi, and a pic of Noah from Jack Frost (I dont actually have a link for that one, I jsut referenced the manga) for Ascel. so uh. yeah.

I think I drew ascel looking a bit bigger and odler than he's suppose to look <.< whups. and I feel i screwed his face up kind of.
So anyway, My OCs Xi denefind her little follower, and Ascel in all his fanboy-ness, totally now uncaring about any danger that had formerly presented itself.

And Xi's pose is badass, pretty dynamic <3
The one thing that threw me off was Ascel's eyes xD I think it's because in one eye, his iris is touching the bottom part of his eye, and in the other one it's not, so it looks a little off. But really, great job! You get a good sense of the characters' personalities through this image :3

I think you're totally right, that's probably what was bothering me aobut his face. I was like, "He looks derpy..." I knew it was in the eys, but that seems like it would fix things up a bit. I'll prolly go back and tweak a few thigns on this so i'll keep that in mind! Thanks, bro!

Yeah, that was prolly my biggest problem area in this one. It looks a bit awkward to me, and I kind of played around with it a lot and this was the best I ended up with. I still need to look into legs and hips a bit more for drawing, I find them difficult ;A;

The shadows and the gradient background really work on this, and it shows perspective. The strong pose on Xi and the expression on Ascel just scream heroism and hero worship! This is amazing work! I'm really impressed! I'm going to have to Download this one!

Agggh, the lighting and colouring in this pic is glorious. Some of your best yet. And don't worry about the backgrounds. Gradients are nice and safe.
I need to use references when I draw more. But since I've been drawing fanart stuff so much, I haven't really been drawing my own characters (apart from the prompt challenge thingy...which I still need to finish.)

Yeah, references make a world of a difference... I'm finding my art looks a lot better now that I actually look off somthing to see how things work and stuff. I was always too stubborn to do it before, but Im glad i finally started xD
