Light cruiser Potemkin

Introduction: After the events of the Great war history carried on. Factions raised and declined and with new inventions humanity reached the stars. They founded colonies and new zones of influence. One faction that made its way to the stars was the rusviet tsarsdom. However, some things stayed the same and so there was still the necessarity to have a navy to protect one‘s interests.
Potemkin was a Petrograd-class light cruiser comissioned in 2095 and assigned to the 2. Reconaissance Squadron of the Grand Fleet. The squadron took part in the incident in the Tsushima Strait in 2104, when the ships oft he Togawa Shogunate and the Rusviet Space Navy encountered each other. After exchanging severe threats that nearl escalated the situation was solved and led to a strategical draw.
Potemkin was also the first assignment of Sarina Loratowa, the „Red Tsarina“, in 2120, who later commanded the Eisenstein. Loratowa‘s most important task was the protection of convoys against pirates in area of the Tannhäuser-Gate. After fullfilling she was promoted and gained the medal of the Parliament.
